Hey all -

If you are logged in to Sploofus you can now see some new actions if you go to anyone's user profile. It's just a new way to spice up everyone's profiles with congrats and kisses and hugs and all that good stuff.

Make your mark on anyone's profile!

You can only do one thing to any person per hour - and the list of available actions isn't very impressive... yet.

Stay tuned... this is going to be cool =)

Nice to see you around. Hope you are here to stay for awhile.

If you click the big orange COMMUNITY button at the top of any page it will take you to a list of different stats on the site including the most recent actions from player to player across the entire site.

We're starting by just being able to perform these actions from a users profile page - but it will slowly spread so that you can congrat others and do stuff right from the games pages.

Thanks, Justin, I think

I just hope everyone will remember that I am married and very loyal to my new 2nd wife.

Well, Martina, I'm thinking about it.

There was one facet of our courtship that I was not going to reveal until I was much older. Odile is very proper about all these things, you know. Catholic, conservative, raised in a castle. She doesn't quite yet understand how open and direct we Americans are.

I still have a couple of weeks left to write it and to find her a gift. Talked to her sister for ideas this evening. Can't buy her lingerie a third year in a row even though a super Italian brand always has an online sale at this time of year.

If you would like to block people from being able to perform actions on your profile just go to "Site settings" within MySploofus and you can turn the feature off.

I have found that you can only do it once a day. Even 3 or 4 hours later it says that I can't.

This is an excellent idea. A nice way to build up some team spirit -- mind you deleting political debate might be another one....

Barry, I believe it has been quite clear that no matter how smart you are, not everyone agrees with you-of course, I exclude myself as I am among your greatest "admirers" LOL Linda

What's my take so far?
My best "friend" on Sploofus has "smacked" me and gave me a "swirly".

I was just getting over missing the Peppermint Patty WTHAI from a few weeks ago- and now to get smacked and almost flushed down the toilet.

I'm back in therapy. As Dr. Smith on Lost in Space used to say "Oh the pain- the pain!"

Where are my 160 calorie peppermint patties?

All this is fun but it would be nicer to have the "quakes" corrected.

I think maybe Justin has unresolved groundhog issues.

He pops out occasionally, sees the state of the island,
then disappears.

Six more weeks at least.

This sounds fun. Can I do stuff to the editors too? Lol

You never know when the person you hit might moonlight as an editor.

No offense, but this is really a rather silly feature, and the site is in need of so much maintenance in basic functioning, I really question your priorities when it comes to the site.

Tsk you are more than a little harsh. Yes, there are a few things that need dealing with but on the whole this site is pretty darn good. This site is mainly run by volunteers and designed for having fun right?

I have said in other posts that this is the best trivia site I've found on-line. That said, there were basic function issues when I started on the site in the alpha version. The functionality issues became more pronounced when the beta version was launched. I know there are several threads concerning functionality issues going back to the launch of the beta version. Virtually none -- if any -- of my comments about missing functionality have been addressed (nor those of others who have commented on functions that don't work properly). The fun would be enhanced if the existing functions actually worked like they are supposed to -- and in some instances haven't since I became a member. It is frustrating to me to see things not work on the site for months and years, and to see the site designer waste time with a new silly feature when there are basic problems to be resolved. I assume Justin ultimately hopes to make money from the site -- he may be now, although I don't know. In any event, this is a service I pay for, and I would prefer that problems be corrected before something like this feature is implemented. In fact, as I have indicated before, I refuse to buy a platinum membership precisely because of the numerous functionality issues with the site. I do not consider the editors responsible for any of this because they are volunteers and are not involved in programming.
