I'M DEVASTATED!

Oh my, someone has dropped off my "Friend List". As I remember it was they who requested to be there in the first place. Told "folks" a long time back it was dangerous to have me on one's "Friend List". Yet another indication to me that some have difficulty distinguishing the person from what they believe-no big deal-Linda

Well, as far as the friend list goes, it doesn't quite "yet", who knows what Justin has in store for it, the functionality that they have on other sites like Myspace for example. It tells me when someone is online and is perhaps a convenient way to locate a profile if I want to send a message, but there are no blogs to lookup or music or status updates or instant messaging etc. so I don't use it a whole lot, though I do use it some.

Whenever I do use it, half the time I'm surprised as to who's on there, they were added so long ago I don't even remember half the time, and if someone did delete me, I'm not sure I'd notice it....maybe I would. Same with my Myspace and Facebook sometimes. I've been deleted, and the only reason I know why is because my number went down, but sometimes for the life of me can't figure out who it was, lol.

Even if I were deleted, I would probably say "hey" all the same when i saw them on around the site.....I know your post is tongue in cheek, but it can be somewhat "devestating" I suppose depending on who it is.....

Good point....If you knew me...I'm rather tongue and cheek....
Those who don't know me would be unaware of that...

Sorry. I removed it right after you told me to stfu. Didn't feel very friendly at the time. Matter of fact, it's been a long time since it has felt friendly between us, darned if I know why, and I hoped inviting you might fix it but that's not how it seemed to be working out. I was hasty in removing you and I regret it.

Surprise! You're not the only hothead on the island.

No, please don't, Sandy, You are among the VERY few liberals on it and you know me always trying to aim for "Fair and Balanced" LOL Linda

WOW! "Cara" What a slap in the face, isnt enough that your political ramblings are one Nancy Grace episode from you being on Jerry Springer? Why would you pick this forum to embarass and berate someone? Everyday, I am determined not to aggravate you or let you aggravate me and then you post things like this. All's fair in love and war.

"No big deal"? I guess it must be, to rate an "I'm DEVASTATED!" post. The nice part of the Friends List for me is that the names of the people on my Friends List are highlighted in any lists so they're easy to locate as having taken a quiz or showing where they rank on any given WP.

My personal reaction when someone removes her/himself from my Friends List is to ignore it...so I won't give that person the satisfaction of being noticed as missing.

I don't handle it that way, I've only had it happen once where it upset me, and I was like, "why??" lol, I probably should handle it the way you guys are saying, not sure. When I was newer to Myspace I think I deleted someone I actually liked a whole lot when I was in a bad hot-headed mood, and that's how she handled it too, "why??". I'm glad she did, because I quickly re-added her, not even sure why I did that really.....

I did not say who the "SOMEONE" was-they cleared that up. I think everyone knew it certainly was NOT you, Penn. As I said no biggie..... Linda

Linda, I wasn't "making a distinction between a person and what they believe," I was making a distinction between friends and people who are publicly rude to me.

You've apologized. I accept. Is it done yet? Can it please be done? Thanks.

Yes, it can be done. As i pointed out in the very controversial thread that the reason I used stfu was because you had used it first along with other words offensive to many but that had slipped by the editors but my spelling out BS had not. I told you via pm that I was sorry that I had used it in connection with your name and also sorry that it hurt your feelings-my point was "selective" deletions never personal offense at what you or others had said- I can get on with things but you had better ask Penn if she can...... I don't want anyone getting the idea that I used the shut up thingy to anyone else. I find it so offensive to be told to shut up, it's not something I say to anyone else except in intimate jest or extreme anger, and anyway, I used it in reference to myself. A little different?

Anyway, it's over. Peace? I sent you a hug, c'mon.

Why don't we release all our tensions by cleaning our refrigerators....I'm sure things smells bad in there also. In fact, I think I'll clean my daughter's refrigerator..I know that will take hours.

Sorry, Charlotte, I will indeed get back on the porch. This thread has taken on a life of it's own. My original issue was NOT with Smoke or anyone else but SELECTIVE deletions. Smoke has the "moral" high ground here because she did not say stfu in connection with anyone's name and I did. The possibly offensive words that were let slide when my spelling out BS are not even mentioned in the abbreviation stfu. If it were worth it I would cut and paste both of the possibly offensive words that I meant but it is surely not worth it-. Smoke has said she is done with it and I am too-not done with you, Charlotte Lol Linda

Now that was very nice so I guess we will let you play off the porch for a little while longer. Just try and not get into to much trouble. charlotte :0

I'm deleting all you people from my friends list and starting another list called PITA People. Jerm is president of that club and Gerry is VP for insulting my fridge.

I believe that Linda was quoting me by saying "STFU", it happens to be one of the phrases that makes me so endearing.

Now quit whining and draw my royal bath...

HRH...Me.

LOL! Reminds me of the wacky movie I watched the other night, Walk Hard: the Dewey Cox Story, when the dad kept telling his surviving son "the wrong kid died." It was hilarious. No, really.

Donna - moms always say that - then get all hurt when you don't eat their dessert that they slaved over because it's your favorite.

Speaking as a mom, we cannot be pleased. Apparently.
