hi all after 2 very long years we are finally making the move to Vancouver. We fly out on April 2nd. we are both very excited.
We are wondering if anyone can help with a few things!
The most important is a good internet provider! I am with Aol at the moment.
Also we fly into Vancouver airport roughly about 9.30pm Vancouver time and need to find a Hotel very much near the airport for that night! also would welcome suggestions on hotels/motels in the Vancouver area to stay at for maybe up to 2 weeks depending on the rental situation.
We are looking at renting somewhere to start off with and have narrowed down choices to either Port Moody or Port Coquitlam areas, having never been to the country am open to suggestions and help of any sort!
thank you all

Hey Rayley, long time no hear from! I have no suggestions of course, I'm not exactly sure where those places even are, lol. I did want to congratulate you though on finally getting to move! Congratulations, and welcome to Canada!

Rayley, I use Telus the phone company for my Internet, I think Rogers the cable company has a good plan too, maybe faster than mine. I'm trying to pick a few brains for hotels & such. I'm not fond of big cities so I've never spent much time in Vancouver. I'll let you know

Don't go with Rogers if customer service is important to you - it's non-existant. I use Bell all in one for phone, satellite, internet (yes, the phone line has high speed up here in igloo land ) lol. Good bundle plan. If you prefer cable, see if Rogers hasn't gobbled up the local cable company yet.
