...from the

Woman spent two years stuck on toilet

By Anton Antonowicz

A woman who spent two years stuck on a toilet at her boyfriend's home has been freed.

When police found the 35-year-old she was jammed tight on the seat because her skin had grown around it. US Sheriff Bryan Whipple, said: "She was not glued. She was not tied. She was just physically stuck.

"It's hard to imagine. I have a hard time imagining it myself.

"She said she didn't need help and did not want to leave."

But police pried the seat from the toilet with the woman attached. They took her to hospital, with her track suit bottoms down around her thighs, and the seat was removed.

Police in Kansas, were called by her 36-year-old boyfriend, who told them he had taken food and water into her for two years.

He said he asked her every day to leave the bathroom but she refused, saying: "Maybe tomorrow."

Mr Whipple said the woman seemed "somewhat disorientated" and her legs looked as if they had wasted away.

Police are deciding whether to charge the boyfriend, who has a second loo.

NOW! How can you not love a story involving a toilet and a man (sheriff) named Mr. Whipple???

She was there 2 years and her boyfriend isn't in jail for holding her hostage?? She had to be getting food and liquids (don't even go there!) or she would be dead. He had to have kept her there against her will.

I don't want to see a picture of this - I really don't - but the whole thing seems impossible. Did she think she was going to lose enough weight to be able to walk out of there? Is she mentally competent?

Just when you think you've heard everything, you hear something that is so bizarre you're certain it has to be made up.

This story is actually almost a year old -

But there was an update of sorts recently - no s#*t!

GREAT BEND, Kan. — A Kansas man whose girlfriend was physically stuck to the toilet in their home wins $20,000 in the state Lottery — for the second time this year.

Kory McFarren of Ness City cashed in his winning $2 Bonus Crossword ticket in Great Bend Monday. On July 29, the 37-year-old McFarren received six months of probation after pleading no contest to misdemeanor mistreatment of a dependent adult.

McFarren called Ness County deputies in February to report that his girlfriend, Pam Babcock, had refused to come out of the bathroom for two years. Authorities found her stuck to the toilet.

Medical personnel estimated Babcock had been on the toilet for at least a month and said the seat had adhered to sores on her body. She was released from a Wichita hospital after several months of treatment.
