Very interesting puzzle. Learned some things I didn't know - and that's always a good thing.

Bigbird, you sure look like something Darwin would study.

(Hubbie says: this evolved into a great puzzle)

Had we not gotten 2 "sorrys" right off the bat due to a very, very clever "google gotcha" we would have been ahead of Sliko!!

It was great that this puzzle was so timely...have been reading everything coming out recently to celebrate Darwin's 200th!

Still got stumped by one...but learned something new!

Thanks! This puzzled rocked!

This was a good puzzle I have to admit, even though I don't agree with Darwin or his theories. I live in Rhea County where the famous Scopes Trial was held back in 1925. We are even in American History books folks...Too bad now all the publicity we get is from some poor farmer spreading manure on his fields and it getting into the ventilation system at the high school and them closing school for half a day...Strange world we live in huh?

Loved it, Sploofishy, thanks! Great clues and interesting phrases. Darwin is someone I always enjoy reading about.

Boo hoo!
Missed my first wp for months when my hotel computer threw me out as I finished up, and my reset did not come early enough... I'd set out to explore Sydney already. My score was going to be 33 I think; oh wel...
Another months scores gone west (actually they'd gone west already...)

Interesting subject

I feel for ya, Barry, I missed the detective WP the other day, too tired after my uncle's funeral. Still, that was my choice, a computer error, what a drag

Geez - I screwed up one and wasted a bunch of letters on another and still managed second - learned a lot.
