Linda, I voted for Biden in the primary. He is a great senator and really knows his stuff, just ask him. Honestly, he is ok.

From what I can see though Blago was as good as any politician. His tragic flaw narcissism which let the "business as usual' get caught on tape. Learning that the ultimate misnomer is "HONEST politician". Linda :9

I see many folks throughout the system political or otherwise "gaming it" and don't see what he did as much worse than Nancy getting the taxpayers to protect a rat in her district or Harry getting his fantasy train from Disney to Vegas- guess I'm not a good judge of level of corruptness- Linda

I guess not.

Don't remember many appointments to the Senate being sold brashly for CASH, do you?

My guess is there have most likely been more than a few. Depends on if the cash goes into your pocket or your campaign to get you reelected or a position for a family member-again guessing ALL of these plus some. It is only in more recent times that technology has been developed to look into the dealings or double dealings of these people. I can remember when I was growing up thinking that because someone said it on radio or TV or wrote it in the newspaper it was gospel. Also the elected officials were right up there close to god especially the President- Linda

If only McCain/Palin had won the election. Joe the plumber would probably be Secretary of the Treasury and all of our economic woes would be over. The evil empire would disappear, Islams would be converting to Palin's religion and Sean Penn would have never won the best actor award for portraying one of those "you know whats". And the presidents wife would be referred to as the First Lady instead of his "Old Lady". Rush Limbaugh would be so contented - he would become a Liberal just so he could find something to piss and moan about!

Well, Skidrow, your juvenile contribution aside, one cannot help but be concerned about the conduct of the War on Terror under Obama. Al Qaeda doesn't play pat-a-cake even if the new administration might want to.

The good news is that they haven't changed a thing over there and he's on his way to disappointing his rabid left wing.

Well Skidrow...I thought that post was BRILLIANT!

Andy, you were a consultant for over 20 years? And how many job reviews were you subject to after you had been on the job for a little over a month? Guessin not too many. As I have previously stated ad nauseum, give the man a freakin chance, it's way to early to be dooming his presidency. If you don't like him, feel free to leave the country. Oh wait, you already did.

Me.

Difference is, chick, not too many people spend so much of YOUR (and your kids and your kids' kids) money in one month on the job. That's putting it out there for a heckuvalot of judgment. We'd be errant not to look into it.

Jank, not saying you shouldn't question what goes on, but I feel it's COMPLETELY inappropriate to make any predictions at this point.

Kinda like going to a football game and getting all pissed off at the team for losing the coin toss because THAT CERTAINLY indicates the outcome of the game...

I only commented on one subject, HRH, and it is the one that has most concerned me about this admin. I have confidence in Obama and I am letting just about all the sour grapes from the right fly by right now.

But this is one issue where some moves have already been made and they tend to show the naivete of Obama in this theater. I am trying to discern a strategy from these moves, esp as regards Iran.

As noted, the good news is that they haven't changed a thing over there and he's on his way to disappointing his rabid left wing.

One of the Gitmo guys was just released into Britain who say they are keeping an eye on him but not detained. This was done before some kind of study was released saying that the conditions at Gitmo were in keeping with the Geneva Convention. Eric Holder took a trip there today but not even a pool photographer or reporter-forgoten the reason why not. Seems the guys at the newly refurbished and reopened prison in Iraq that had such a bad reputation for prisoner treatment by the Bush folks as well as prior treatment by Sadaam's boys. are being held under the same lack of legal protocol that the Gitmo guys were. Once again the rubber has hit the road between governing and campaign- Linda

And AGAIN, I ask you not generalize "generations to come". Every person on the face of the earth impacts generations to come, so don't get in the collective faces of those who choose to support our president. The outcome has yet to be determined my dear, in terms of his presidency, I don't believe we've even gotten to the coin toss, the players just took the field.

Well, you've certainly convinced me Skid and ChicK. He is Everyone's answer to everything. But things are so dire and the world is in such crisis and a state bordering on Catastrophe it will take him a bit to fulfill everyone''s dream as after all please remember he inherited everything. I now know too that it was Bush who caused the Great Flood and his job is very difficult but if I give everything I have worked for and my kids worked for and on and on over for use by the "Greater" he can just possibly make the Waters recede but give him time as it will not be quick or without pain. That will happen just as soon as that too big to replace Geithner figures out just how to make everything work. Gesus, Goodnight!! Linda

Not fear tactics, Skiddo, the reality of the situation, often minimized by the Left until it is too late.

Pat-a-cake and Kumbaya are far from what is required.

The huge problem with him and his supporters like you and SKid, Chick, is that you are all still in "campaign mode". That is fine for the campaign but now he won so smart people are looking at what he is doing not only what he is saying...

We'll see, Smoke.

Barack wants to talk directly to terrorism sponsor Iran (as if we haven't been talking to them all along at lower levels - the way competent foreign policy teams always do).

They want to be nicer to the terrorists. Some of them still blame us for bringing on 9-11.

They want to act more in concert with our European allies (who have yet to ante up more troops for Afghanistan as part of the deal and who regularly don't do their part even in their own backyard).

Linda, I don't listen to Limbaugh, I thpought that was a cheese. I'm a loyal listener to Rod Blagojevich on all the stations.
BTW what's taking Fitzie so long to indict him. Don't think President Barry isn't holding his breath.

Do you really think that Blago's own party would have thrown him out of office if they didn't know so very well how he operated?

Blago became an embarrassment which is why he had to go. It had absolutely nothing to do with his ethics or lack of whichever. If he had been "discreet" in his double-dealings like the rest of the politicians attempt to be, he would still be the Governor of Illinois. Either party or any politician will throw anyone "under the bus" if it serves them to do so-point-all the flip flopping by everyone on whether Roland Burris would be seated. Linda
