LOST 2-24

This one was good. But I can't wait till next week. The previews look very exciting.

Yeah. I like how the waters were muddied about Widmore and his motives. Gee, aren't he and Ben just so concerned about making sure Locke takes over control of the island. It's touching, really.... NOT!

Looking forward to next week!

I'm totally lost about why Ben did what he did. Was it because he thought (or knew?) that John would chicken out?

Seems if that were it, he'd just have walked in and - well, pulled down on his feet, rather than talk him down, do that, and then lug him back up - which, no way I believe that little guy could physically get John back up there that way.

Did I miss something obvious? I didn't get to record the show last night.

Something about the old woman's name seemed to trigger the response in Ben. Something about HER is why he killed Locke.

Interesting Minutia Alert!!!

The flight number was 316, which when Faino pointed that out to me, made me think of John 3:16, which is, of course, about salvation. A friend looked at the Ajira site and found that verse embedded in the details somewhere. For some interesting discussion about the original Oceanic flight 815, go take a look at John 8:15.

Also, when Sawyer and the group were flashing through time and they grabbed that boat to head around the island instead of across, there was a bottle of water in the boat from Ajira airlines.

John Locke seems to have (according to reports I heard - didn't see it myself) only 4 toes on his right foot!!! The statue!!!!

Back to the topic at hand...
Killing oneself is only seen as a positive if it is done altruistically - to save someone else's life. John was at the point that he was going to do it out of desperation and/or depression, which would not have made him a very suitable "savior." Being martyred for the cause, on the other hand.....

That's amazing, Judy. Thank you.

I watched it online again last night. I'm still missing things.

Aweeeee - the Sawyer/Juliet connection. Obviously it only took him 2 weeks to win her over from leaving on that sub.
