LOL After doing the WWII puzzle I've exposed how little I know about songs I should remember just a little anyway. Got me thinking about the topics we choose for quizzes and puzzles, my puzzles and quizzes usually tend towards rock music or silly word plays and aint I a lil old to be doing rock n' roll I wondered. And what does the phonic puzzle reveal about my character? Maybe that my brain is a bit twisted? Guess we tell about ourselves in subtle ways that are perhaps subconscious, but accurate.....hmmm, should I write a puzzle about waiting for the Mother-Ship?

Honey, the mother ship has already left Earth's orbit! And if you're too old to do rock and roll quizzes then I guess we are in the same boat....then again, you're never too old to rock and least my brain keeps telling the rest of me that! LOL
Love ya,

Oogie ... If you want to write the quiz on Waiting for the Mother Ship ... I promise that I'll take it.

It is interesting and, indeed, one of my favorite things about the platipuzzles. You get to know the writers, fellow Sploofusers, in many ways. Their hobbies, interests, work, and so on, is one level of interest. But also, you start learning the way they think and what they think is important. Sometimes, you get the hang of their distinctive wording or phrasing. I certainly have my favorites, as I’m sure everyone does. But I truly enjoy the variety and the glimpse of who these people really are.

I want to thank all of you that write them, because I enjoy them immensely!

Oh! And Oogie, your exposure is my pleasure!

I too was very afraid to read this thread - especially after all that stuff about Oogie's underwear the other day. But if the mother ship ever does arrive, I hope there's plenty of rock and roll and puns on board.

I envision the ship a la ET, only responding with a few bars of Pink Floyd or AC/DC, now that would be some cool alien Mother-Shippers

Oogie ... I'm pretty sure that there is a screen play behind that excellent idea of the Mother Ship responding to Pink Floyd or AC/DC.

Or, if nothing else ... an excellent quiz. LOL

BTW ... Thank heavens for spell check!

Of course the universe being as perverse as it is, the Ship wouldd probably only respond to Starland Vocal Band or Napoleon XIV.

"Guess we tell about ourselves in subtle ways that are perhaps subconscious, but accurate.....hmmm"

I think you are right on the money. I see something of each person in their puzzle, they don't even realize it's about them.
