Is there a way to respond to comments that people leave on your posted quizzes? I've been doing a series on adjectives, and one particular person keeps leaving remarks suggesting that my quizzes are filled with misleading questions, typos, and incorrect adjective form. I've asked for particulars, but this person can't come up with anything. I have a feeling that other players, seeing these negative comments, won't want to take the quizzes I submit. Since the comments are out there in public, I'd like to be able to respond publicly .

Put in for a deletion of those comments by sending a support ticket.

Look at the profile of the person who keeps bombing you. One of the comments she puts on her profile is this:

"People today are barely tolerable."

Consider the source. Why does she keep taking your quizzes if she doesn't like them?

Other comments regarding your quizzes are quite positive.

What Koota said! It's obvious this person is just jealous because you are more intelligent!
Keep up the good work!

Richard,if you want to respond publicly, post their name and negative comments in salty dog during busy hours. It is not the editors favorite method and you will most likely be directed to submit a support ticket which you can do by clicking on "Help' at the bottom of the page and they will remove comments you don't want to be there If your desire is to air the name publicly first-which I would not blame you a bit- do the posting in Salty Dog when folks will see it and then you can move to get the comments removed so future quiz takers won't-some folks don't "GET" it unless you make it public and will do the same thing on your next quiz iMHO Linda

I think that level of negativity is disturbing...especially coupled with the "people today are barely tolerable" remark. I thought this was a social site.

Ignore the remarks and get them removed as quickly as you can. Clearly he/she is a very unhappy individual. You're not causing it or changing it.

I want you to know that as a truly picky quiz taker I think you set amongst the best vocab and othewr quizzes out there.
The comments you have got from one source seem malicious and ill-founded to me.
Ignore them -- or if you think they are affecting your quiz, get them deleted by contacting support.

I have sent in a support ticket before because people argue with an answer and actually leave what they "think" is the correct answer there for all to see. That messes it up for the next people to take it. I would send in a support ticket. The editors can delete those remarks.

Always excellent quizzes

And I think of you at the bridge table several times a week because "carreau" is the French word for "diamond" in playing cards.

Carreau, while I haven't taken your adjective quizzes (yet), I have ALWAYS found your quizzes to be fun, challenging, and well-written. Keep up the good work!

I agree! The First Amendment should merely be considered a guideline and ignored much as most all other principles are today. You say bombing like it's a bad thing.

I did all your adjective quizzes and thought they were great. I agree with Barry when it comes to vocabulary quizzes on Sploofus Richard's are some of the best.

You are doing a great job. Whenever I do a quiz or such like, I wait to see if it falls into one of three categories,

a It is too difficult
b it is too easy
c you made a spelling mistake

I am always elated when I see another one of your quizzes. Please keep them coming, and ignore the sniper. Miriam

I also love your quizzes. I find them challenging but not impossible. All the words you choose are often seen in articles in the better newspapers and magazines. As some of you know (Hello, Painmaster. Are you having a nice day?), I send messages about misleading descriptions of quizzes and error of punctuation - apostrophes are my main target.

But, Carreau, your quizzes are a joy.

Just my view, but think folks who send "corrections" as minor as they may seem to you without going directly to the person's profile, are wrong. Those comments show whether you are correct or you were not so don't do that to people. If it isn't worth going to their profile than your "CRITICISMS" and "CORRECTIONS" are not worth it either. My guess is that the comments stay even if author CORRECTS in your favor. Richard's quizzes have been among my very favorites for a very LONG time. Even remember going on some kind of "rant" as one of my selves that his should get EAs even though they were short were so very much fun and so good - Linda
