ACRONYMS

Acronyms have become part of life in this the computer age. While I shudder at how some cannot get through a sentence without using "U" instead of you and "4" instead of for, there are times that computer shorthand is vital -- like in phone text messages. I do use, LOL, because it says exactly what you mean, succintly. In medicine, there are a million acronyms, as it simply easier to say "TIA" instead of "transient ischemic attack", which leads me to my favorite acronyms that we used in the ER --- PIA -- pain in the ..., well you can figure that one out.
On another trivia site that I go on, where the questions are live -- my friends have created a few acronyms as jokes amongst ourselves ..... my favorite being "AW" which is "attention whore" --- you can post it and be a catty as you want, --- I didnt say it was nice, but it is fun, LOL --- see there I go again!
Another one of my favorites is "oic" --- say it out loud if you don't know it......
What is your favorite acronym or which one can you not live without typing or do you have made up ones too?

Talking of computer-support speak ones (PEBCAK and FUBAR), my favourite is "there's an Eye-Dee Ten Tee error" - if you don't know it write it down as you say it ...
