As someone still wearing peace sign earrings, though a little more upscale than those of my youth, I loved it. Great theme, Donna

Wow! Thanks, everyone for the wonderful comments! I'm printing this one out for the fridge door!
The puzzle was so much fun to put together, so many beautiful and thought-provoking quotes to choose from.

I think we're not supposed to do this but in the interests of peace, here are all 10 phrases:

Jesus told Peter that we should forgive seventy times seven (Religious peace)
If there must be trouble let it be in my day that my child may have peace (Revolutionary idea) Thoman Paine
Friendship is the only cure for hatred the only guarantee of peace (Princely enlightenment) Buddha
Lord Chesterfield said wrongs are often forgiven but contempt never is (Pride remembers)
Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend (MLK's ultimate weapon)
An old proverb says its impossible to shake hands with clenched fists (Open up!)
The intoxication of anger like that of the grape shows us to others (Destroys and reveals) Dryden
Moshe Dayan said to make peace dont talk to friends talk to your enemies (General-ly good advice)
Montessori stated that establishing lasting peace is the work of education (Teach the children)
Lincoln reasoned am i not destroying my enemies when i make friends of them (Presidential wound-binding)
