It's a gorgeous 70ºF in Phoenix today and my son just got his drivers license! What a beautiful and glorious Friday the 13th

Now if I can get those tax returns eFiled today, my world would be perfect (at least for this one day)!

Somebody else tell us what's new and wonderful in your life...

My granddaughter, 14, has been helping me do some deep cleanign in my house - something that's been neglected for several years as I took on additional work that left me exhausted. Now she's cracking the whip and keeps me on task.

The neat thing of it is, we are having a good time as we are working together. As I find things that are family heirlooms, I tell her the stories about the item, and we make plans for changes I can make in the house. I'm filling bags to take to the homeless shelter's thrift store and she cheers me on .. "Go, Grandma, Go!!!"

These are exhausting but happy times for me.

My son called me at work today, just because! He said he didn't have anything to do and he thought of me. I think I wanna cry. He's at that self-absorbed age so it was a nice treat.

It's only about 40-45 degrees here today, but it is sunny and beautiful. Only another hour and a half of work and then let the festivities begin!

What a gift your granddaughter is, Pat! I love her and I don't even know her!

We've got sunshine (!) and 45 degrees in Portland, Oregon. Daffodils and crocuses are blooming in areas that get sunshine, and just poking their little heads up in shady spots. In a few weeks, the city will explode with color as every bush and tree blooms out. It is truly a sight to behold. I was completely blown away my first spring here as I had never seen so many blooming bushes.

It is truly a beautiful day!

Well, I just got my Amazon Kindle today so I have another option in the "time wasting" category. Another reason to avoid doing something constructive.

Its sunny in Pittsburgh! My daughter in DC is getting a weekend visit from her half brother and is very excited!
And I spied tulip and other bulbs sprouting!

I'd be interested to know what you think of the Kindle. I rarely have time
for leisure reading, but e-books are the way of the future.

Just got the mail and a phone call

My youngest son is on the Deans List again -- he has made straight A's in his first 2 years of pre-med!
And my nephews are to be featured at their piano recitals!

It's 45 in Evensville TN. right now and misting rain. My boys are out of school next week for spring break and the hubby is off from work that week too. I may take a vacation after Tim sees the eye specialist on Monday all by my lonesome...LOL! Both of my boys told me they loved me earlier and gave me hugs. I asked them what they wanted and they both said "nothing mom, we just love you". Talk about a Kleenex moment!

49 and sunny (still) in south-central IN thanks to DST.

Don, Foogs, received a Kindle as a gift. Would have never bought one for myself. Well, I love it. Am reading more obsessively than ever. You gotta get the leather cover though (which should have come with it for the price). Without the cover it was a hard plastic thing. With cover it's an old leather-bound book.
