I see several quizzes in your future about my trip. We spent all of yesterday in the Prado so for you art lovers, start boning up. Today we are going to Aviela and Segovia (not sure of my spelling there) I can spell cerveza and sangria though! I hate sangria at home....sweet and cloying......I am enjoying it here however. We will be back this evening in time for a short siesta and then on to a tapas crawl......the tapas are great...she said with an "oink". I have never seen so many different kinds of ham and each and every one is fabulous. Have a great day. Adios

Well I never been to Spain
But I kinda like the music
Say the ladies are insane there
And they sure know how to use it

I'm glad you're having a great time. Send some sunshine my way, please.

Segovia is where they raise the bulls. Never been there or to Avila.

Hope you are going to Andalusia and Barcelona too.

Buen viaje!

Segovia has a fine castle (Alcazar) rumoured to be the inspiration for the Disney castle, and a stunning Roman aqueduct. Those are probably its two main claims to fame.

They raise bulls in lots of parts of Spain, I'd not heard that Segovia was any more special than elsewhere.

Avila has spectacular city walls - which I've only seen from a distance, but they looked very beautiful illuminated at night.

Que pases un buen dia. Perhaps I should say 'que pases buenas vacaciones.'

Alcazar was indeed was the aqueduct.....water still runs after all these years. Avila was very nice also. Alas, it is back to reality tomorrow. We start home....I sincerely hope that the trip home is better than the one we had coming over. We fly to Chicago on Iberia so maybe that will work out fine. I donĀ“t know if I told you but our luggage did not arrive with us when we landed. Adios
