This was a delightful word puzzle, Bev, thank you! I'm really enjoying learning more about everyone. I found one phrase particularly interesting, but will comment on that after the puzzle is over. Lots of fun!

I thought I would know a couple answers...didn't. Loved leaning more about you. A fascinating topic...you are a fascinating person, after all!

Well, you are certainly one interesting lady and this puzzle, esp three long phrases, just about exhausted me before I got two easy to finish up.

Dinner time - trout grenobloise tonight, I think. Oh, that's lemon beurre blanc with capers and croutons - from dinner in Vallon Pont d'Arc (valley of the natural bridge) the night after Leslee lost her nerve canoeing in the gorges of the Ardeche.

It seems a little early in the year for fresh trout, but your weather is different than here. I think I would prefer lemon beurre noisette over blanc with a rich flavored trout.

Oh well, I will settle for making ballekes in tomatensaus with pomme frites.

I hope you have a nice wine, like a sparkllng Vouvray or a fine Sancerre.

Steve, we have fresh rainbow trout year round. It's a fairly delicately flavored fish. So a lighter white would be right, but I was finishing some lighter red. I have some $ancerre, but only to share it with Odile and guests.

I'm a bachelor for a whole week. That means I get to leave stuff soaking in the sink and I can leave my clothes EVERYWHERE.

I forgot to tell Bushy that her WP was good, but we were talking about food and cooking, so she will understand.

Good'un mateyette.

One of these was funny. I agree it was more about putting up different/difficult words than what could possibly be the truth.

I mean, I suppose the folks that live there say it is a nice place, but who would want to visit?

All I want to know is what's wrong with a nice trip to Seattle, with its lovely common vowels and consonants? If anyone in the top ten got the travel location puzzle, I salute him or her.

The place Bev wants to visit was my favorite phrase! Here it is:

i find the natural exotic flavor and beauty of kamchatka quite alluring

I thought it was an interesting phrase, and once I had figured it out, I liked it that so many letters of the alphabet had been used. Thanks again!

Bev/ Bushyfox:
Great puzzle and a joy to solve.

I admired your answer to "If I had a $1,000,000"- very selfless.

I also liked your "Proud Moment" phrase. To be a firefighter takes a lot of training as well as courage.

Dear Sleepless in Seattle

I had Kamchatka after one letter with those particular A's and knowing Bev lived in Australia and liked the wilds. Getting the rest of it, esp the word "flavor," took many more moves.

Odile's brilliant cousin José (bioligist, speaks seven languages) goes fishing in Kamchatka and has a girlfriend in Murmansk (in Russian Lapland).

Why would anyone go to Seattle when they could go to Kamchatka anyway?
