I LOST BIG TIME WHEN I USED A WAGER TOKEN!

I lost more than 100,000 points today, when I foolishly 'bet the max' on my daily trivia question. I was in far too much of a cavalier mood this morning and paid the price. Has anyone else lost that many points (or more) in one go? Please make me feel better!

If it's any consolation I lost 1 billion on a wager once! C'est la vie!

Try losing a billion in one shot. Doesn't feel good.

I've lost over half of my points in the last 2 months (600,000,000+). Feel better now?

OK, I feel like I was overreacting a bit now. Maybe losing 100,000 points isn't so bad!

Barry nicely advised me to save my tokens for a while so I could make really big bets

(and suffer like FĂ©lix)

Over a billion in my former sploofus life. That's when you curl up in a fetal position and cry. Or quit.

Lodi - if you quit again I'm going to Idaho (or wherever you are) and going to make you play NTN for 600 hours straight....that will learn ya.

100,000, by the way, for those of you who have billions, is a TON of points at level 4. Keep it up!

You're all making me feel a whole lot better, thank you! I'll let you know when I lose my first billion.

I lost 2 billion points on 2 wagers approximately 20 seconds before I quit sploofus.

I'm not quitting this time. I don't have any points.

Long ago, I was briefly at #58 on the All-Time Leaderboard before I lost a bazillion points on multiple bad wagers to drop me to my current lowly status somewhere between 150 and 200.

What the heck. I'm still betting the max. And, I am wiser now in my choice of wagering categories.

No worries. It's just Sploofus points.

I lost 3.7 million about a month or so ago. So I have given up wagering for Lent. (I should live so long to lose a billion points!)

Aristotle-
We all eventually lose mucho points on wagers or showdowns.
I know the feeling a few more times than I'd like to remember. But when you win- yippeeeee!

Just keep earning more tokens and come back with a vengeance.

I have nine wager tokens now, and a little over four and half million points. I still haven't indulged in a wager yet !!! It's terrible isn't it ? What a wuss.

Clevercloggs, I'm with you. If I do wager my top wager is 10,000; usually it's more like 5,000. That's why I'm at Level 44 and have under 30,000,000 points!

I nearly did it this morning. When the catagory came up it was TV and Movies (or something similar), one of my many blind spots. So i didn't make a wager, and when the question was about a cartoon character i was relieved that i didn't. You've just done what i did this morning, you've guessed right. I got it correct, i was going to wager 100,000 too. Oh well.

Thanks for all your support! I'm actually having fun today, trying to regain my former position... and I've learned a few things about Sploofus along the way, such as how Showdowns work. I'm going to try one, when I feel brave enough!

I know that I will DEFINITELY bet 1 billion points further down the line and I'm sure I'll be back here asking you why I did it. Come to think of it, I'm really looking forward to having that many points to wager. Bring it on!

I'll definitely wager a billion points some day - around 2016 or so.
Of course, by then most of you will have Quadrillions of points.

I wager on one category only, but I always 'Bet the Max'.

What a rush when you win!

I lost two in a row once, each for over a million. They were both in my wheelhouse too, music.
