Regular viewers of the show know about this I'm sure, but for anybody else that may be interested, here is the scoop from the Jeopardy site. Good Luck.

(CULVER CITY, CA, March 22, 2006) For the first time ever, Jeopardy! will give its fans a more convenient and accessible way to become a contestant on the nation's #1 quiz show. Launching March 28th, 29th and 30th, the challenging Jeopardy! contestant test will be offered online as the first step toward being on the show.

Every year, the Jeopardy! contestant coordinators travel the nation seeking and testing over 25,000 potential contestants through an exclusive audition process. Now, online testing will allow even more Jeopardy! fans the chance to participate. The lucky applicants who pass the online test and are selected for an interview will be invited to come to their preferred audition city and meet the contestant coordinating team in person. During Spring and Summer of 2006, the coordinators will visit over a dozen cities across the country. Ultimately only 400 people per year will be chosen to compete at the famous Jeopardy! podiums.

"Our online testing process allows our many viewers the opportunity to take the test from their very own computer, at home, at the office----virtually anywhere," said Harry Friedman, Executive Producer of Jeopardy! "Now we can meet thousands of potential contestants who may not have had the opportunity to try out before. "

The preliminary online screening consists of a 50-question, 50-category test which takes approximately ten minutes to complete. For more information, go to for details and a complete list of rules.

Jeopardy!, a winner of 25 Emmy awards since its debut in 1984, was recently inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records for the most awards won by a TV Game Show. The series is the #1-rated quiz show in syndication, and has held that title for over 1,000 weeks. Jeopardy! continues to be a ratings champion.

Jeopardy! is produced by Sony Pictures Television, a Sony Pictures Entertainment Company, and is distributed domestically by King World Productions, Inc. The series is also distributed internationally by CBS Paramount International Television.

I am trying out tonight at 8 p.m. Eastern. Wish me luck. I would say many Sploofus'ers would make excellend Jeopardy contestants. So many heads filled with way more trivial knowledge than mine.

Good luck to all who try out!

I have always thought I'd do pretty well but I would hate to be on TV and choke... so I will probably never actually try out.
