MY QOTD WAS NOT RELATED TO TOPIC!

I just had a Question of the Day about US Currency that I wagered a large deal of points on. However, the topic was Books & Authors. Luckily, I answered it right, but I would have been very upset if I had goofed it.

Has anyone else gotten a question that didn't pertain to the subject?

This is a problem with the form the editors use to write new questions - the default category is Books and Authors, so if we forget to select a category that is where it goes!

If you send this specific question in as a problem on a Support Ticket, then Justin can fix it...but he needs to know the question!

Editors have already requested that he make the Pot Pourri category the default, so maybe this will remind him

Glad you didn't lose your wager!

I had this happen once, and it involved a wager. I sent in a support ticket and it was eventually fixed and I lost no points. I got the subsequent question correct. SO it all worked out in the end.

I lost my wager when this happened. Submitted a ticket on Febuary 13. Hope that now that Justin is back from vacation it can be resolved.

The default category was changed to Potpourri, but a few incorrectly categorized questions may still be floating around the books and authors category.

The only way for us to find them, is for you to submit a support ticket with the question in it. Thank you!

Today, I got Books and Authors, chickened out of wagering on it, got an honest-to-goodness B&A question, and nailed it. What's that prove? Beats me.
