I would like to hear the teachers in our midst (and others) comment on this. Sounds like "new math" to juggle figures.

Officials bemoan the fact that our students are behind students in other countries. So the solution is to have no consequences for cheating or late or ignored assignments?

How would you like to have heart surgery performed by a doctor who cheated his way through school?

Sounds like the wrong kids were getting bad grades for bad behavior and their families have pull with the right people to get things changed.

It's ridiculous.

Personally, I think it is one of the dumbest things that I have heard lately. Children (AND they are children) need to be held accountable for any of their actions. I can possibly see not giving a grade less than a 50 but how do you learn to function in society if things are always overlooked. Why in the world would any district condone something like that?
