In 1997 Mary Schmich wrote an article for the Chicago Tribune entitled "Advice, like youth, probably just wasted on the young."
In 1998 film director Baz Luhrman added a complete narration of this piece done by Australian voice actor Lee Perry to his remix of "Everybody's Free (To Feel Good)" for the film "William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet". It's a song I can listen to over and over. It offers sound advice tempered with sardonic wit to prevent it from becoming too preachy. Below is a link to the original video for this song. It's a bit long (about 5 minutes), but definitely worth watching through to the end.

I absolutely loved it. I know kinda off topic. I was just looking at my daughters wedding photos. I thought I was soooo cool, I wasn't. I got really s--- faced and I looked like I was about to cry in every photo, during the reception. The only advice I can give is wear sunscreen. Oh and wear good under garments when you are in formal wear at your children's wedding. The photo's have a long shelf life.
