Bacon lettuce and tomato; but add in chicken and avocado if you want to make a pig of yourself.
With fries of course -- and maybe a chocolate egg cream.

There are a lot of great sandwiches out there but only 2 that I've ever had that brought tears to my eyes. One was at a restaurant we have here called The Old European. I can't remember what its called but they make a sandwich out of french toast, eggs, bacon, and thinly sliced ham, dip the entire thing in egg batter, and deep fry it. Then you dip it in maple syrup as you eat it. The other has the same concept, just different ingredients. Its the Monte Carlo, with 3 slices of bread, ham, turkey, different kinds of cheese, etc., and then the entire sandwich is dipped in an egg batter and deep fried.

Those are definitely throw caution to the wind sandwiches.

The first one is a Monte Cristo. They made it homemade at a restaurant I worked at. It was spattered with powdered sugar. Wow about a zillion calories. Actually I like braunswieger on pumpernickel with red onion, lettuce, tomato and mayo. Oh toast the bread will you are at it. Making my mouth water, and I am on a diet.

Felix, I believe it was offered as one of the side choices, but I opted for the deep fried, beer battered, onion rings with ranch dressing.

But I did have a diet coke with it.

Hmmmm, that does sound good. But it would have to be diet gravy, of course.

When I lived in New York, there was a coffee shop called Jou Jou's in Washington Heights that had the most amazing chicken salad sandwich. The chicken salad has dried cranberries and pine nuts mixed in it, and it was amazing. Unfortunately, I'm still looking for a sandwich shop that offers a Johnny Depp, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Ewan McGregor combo.
