WAGER TOKENS

Hello,

Could someone please explain to me the system of wager tokens? The only time I used one, I lost four levels. I have found difficult to get them therefore I am bit reluctant squandering them...Cheers..Didier

Hi Didier. I only use a wager token when I am low in the level. For instance, if I'm at level 50.7, and my favorite category comes up, I will save that question until I reach level 51.0.
I will only wager if I am low in the level, like below 50.5, because like you say, somethimes they are hard to come by.
If I am at level 50.7, and I make a wager and answer the question incorrectly, I will lose my level points, and go back down to level 50.0.

I hope this helps.

Didier - You get a new wager token every time you answer 10 TQOTDs correctly; for each question you go up a level point (which looks like a tenth of a level). When you get to the next whole level, you get a wager token.

You probably have a category in which you feel strongest - mine is science. I hang on to my science questions till I get to the next full level. Then I use a wager token on that saved question, and bet the max. You don't get that many tokens, so you need to bet as many points as you can when you use one. If you're wrong, you lose the points - but there will always be a chance to make them back next time. If you're right, you win them. If you wait till you're at a whole level, at least you don't lose any level points.

Good luck!

Très, très bonne jounrée, Didier.

It's raining here again and it wasn't supposed to. If it continues tomorrow, I will miss a third consecutive weekly hike, a new one that was postponed once already in February.

Hello Collioure,

This world is mad, it is raining in the south west of France and the weather is lovely in southwest of UK, va comprendre. I did my first small hike of the year yesterday...

It has been terrible for the whole of Easter here in the SE of England. I cancelled a picnic on the Thames Saturday, didn't go to my daughter's BarBQ yesterday (again in London) and i'm not bothering to go out today either. The Moto in Qatar was postponed yesterday due to heavy rain too...how often does it rain there ?

Saturday & Sunday have been gloriously sunny and warm up here in the NW of England and the sun is trying to break through again now!

The sun is always trying to break through in England.

Just never succeeds for very long.

Yes, it turned Mediterranean this afternoon. I'll be hiking tomorrow for the first time in three weeks.

With Dikkie - that's a woman BTW. She Dutch and married to a Catalan here.

I finally did it. After having a few bets, the largest was half a million, i finally bet the max. I know it's not for what some of you bet with, but it was nearly 1.7 million hard earned points !!! I was rewarded with a question about Britain, how's that for luck ?

Hey that's great news Collioure. I'm sure you taking a hike will have the support of many here.
