Completely unrelated to trivia......
I am knitting a handbag for my mom, and I want to line it. I am not a great sewer and abhor hand sewing. I don't mind hand-sewing the lining INTO the bag, but I'd rather seam it with a machine. I don't have a sewing machine, and was thinking of getting one of those little hand-held thingees they show on TV, since I won't be using it much other than for quick little jobs like this. Does anyone have any experience with them that can tell me if they work decent enough or if I should run away screaming from them (or something less dramatic)

I bought one just to use for random hemming, stiching up, etc., but then my mother in law bought me a full blown sewing machine for Christmas a couple of years ago. I don't sew. Since then I have mastered fleece throws and I have a great recipe (no wait that's wrong)...pattern! Yes that's it, a pattern or something for it that's online and if anyone wants it, let me know, I'll send it on. I guess its not really a pattern but more like instructions.

But sorry, my little machine sits unopened in my laundry room so I have no experience with it but had the same thoughts as you.
