Okay, looking for books for my little man (he's 8 years old) Now he is very picky about his books. He loves the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series (usually takes less than two days to read them and then he rereads them 2-3 times before shelving them) and has recently taken a HUGE interest in Star Wars. I've tried to get him to read some R.L. Stine and Henry Winkler books but he just doesn't have much interest in them at all and will only read them if I make him sit down and read them. So I am looking for Star Wars books that he might like. He just got done reading Star Wars: The Clone Wars by Karen Traviss. I was shocked because he read the book in 5 days. It is a BIG book for a 8 year 256 pages in adult fiction format....not kid format with pictures and all that on it. He was taking the book to school with him and his teacher said instead of running around playing at play time he was camped out under the tree on the playground reading the entire time and would talk her ear off telling her what was happening in the book. He would go to bed around 8:00 pm instead of 9:00pm so he could get some reading in before it was time to go to sleep. He has been bitten by the Star Wars bug bad. So any suggestions from you Star Wars fans on what book he could tackle next. One that is action packed and that wouldn't be dull and boring for a 8 year old. Thanks

My son was very into Sci-Fi, some I read to him and some he read to himself.

He loved the Akiko series by Mark Crilley -

Also, Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. It's deep, but my son read it around age 8, and then again at 9 and 11 and 14...he loves it!

Sorry, we never read any Star Wars.
