I DID IT!!!!

I ran my first half-marathon yesterday! I completed in 3 hours 10 minutes. I came in last in my age division, but not last!! Today, I'm a bit sore and tired, but feeling proud and pretty good.

Thanks to all who offered kind words and support.

Next up, duathlon.....

Wow, that is so great. I cannot imagine running 2 blocks! May your joints hold up, and here's to continued success.

What a rewarding experience! Did you break through the finish line with your arms up high and big smile?

Not exactly since they didn't have a line to break through. But I did do it with a smile on my face and my husband, mom, and sister-in-law taking pics! I'll try to get one added to my profile.

WTG ! That's huge. Marathoners truly impress me. I only run when chased.

You should be so proud of yourself! It takes serious stamina and training to do what you did yesterday. Congratulations!

Well done! I was going to complain about being stiff and sore from playing catcher at my daughter's pitching clinic today but then I would just look like a whiner next to someone who just ran a half-marathon.

Oh what the hell. I can hardly move and I'm covered in dirt. But I can't think of a better way to spend the day.

Off to the showers.

I ran a tiller today. Which is a huge lie because what actually happened was the tiller ran me.

And it won.

You have my absolute greatest admiration and respect. My nose runs. That's about it.

Good on you. I'd be flat out running around my cat, let alone running that distance. I'm Dave from down under, Australia. Just dropped in to say hello and wish you all the best.
