Can anyone tell me what the parameters are for the editors? Are they supposed to correct spelling and syntax errors? Check to make sure the quiz answers are accurate? Are they allowed to remove content based on their views? The reason I ask is that I believe very few people read the introductions to the quizzes especially if it’s long. So from time to time I’ll put a line in the intro that says something like, “the answer to question number 5 is green.” Then I’ll go back and check everyone’s answer and see how many got it wrong. When I got notification that my last quiz was live there was a note from the editor saying, “I hope you don’t mind but I took out the answer to question 7 from your description. It was rather generous of you (and funny) but decreases the challenge of the quiz.”
First of all, I do mind. If I had wanted a more challenging quiz I would have used more obscure facts about the subject when writing the questions.
I guess the next time (and there will be a next time) I put an answer in the description I’ll explain why I did it when I get to the talk to the editor part of the submission process.

Interesting approach. I agree that there are those who must never read the Details. I have done a number of TV quizzes where I say in the introduction that the quiz is about AMERICAN TV shows. I still get comments saying that the person did poorly because he doesn't watch American TV or indignant because the quiz wasn't about anything but US stuff. I even got a comment about my quiz titled American Lit 101, complaining that it had only US literature questions.

I know that editors do not check on answer accuracy, because they are not shown what the correct answer is.

So the people that got the question wrong...what, you sit back and laugh at how stupid they are? LOL. Seems a wee bit devious.

Your original language has been restored in the description. My apologies to you. And in the future I will communicate with the author first before being so presumptive.
