LITTLE GIFTS FROM THE UNIVERSE

I woke up this morning in somewhat of a funk, really down on myself, with the itty-bitty-expletive rhyming with city-committee chattering away non-stop in my head. Then while I was walking my dog the most beautiful butterfly landed on my shoulder and remained perched there for a full five minutes or so. It's as if the universe were saying "If you aren't going to step out of your head long enough to enjoy all the beautiful little things this world has to offer, I'm going to make you notice them." Anyways, it just made me step back and reassess my attitude and how I was going to choose to face the day. Just thought I'd share.

" itty-bitty-expletive rhyming with city-committee chattering away non-stop in my head"

How does that go exactly?

what a beautiful thought. How many of us have those little moments in life and fail to notice them?

I went out at daybreak with my coffee and while I stood on the deck breathing the cool morning air,,,,,a bird crapped on my patio table.

A sign perhaps? an omen? Whatever!

For what it's worth Don, many cultures consider it good luck when a bird craps on or near you. Perhaps because it's small beans compared to let's say an elephant crapping on you

When I was very little, an enormous bumblebee flew straight towards my face. I was so terrified that I couldn't move, but the bumblebee just brushed lightly past my cheek. It felt like the softest thing in the world!
