Have any of you been experiencing this problem when answering TQODs - over the past week while answering correctly and well within time limit, I have received results saying I was outside the 30 seconds boundary. During my 4 + years with Sploofus, this has never happened continuously before. I have sent a support ticket (since closed), but wonder if it is a bug etc? Your comments/advice would be gratefully appreciated.

No I have not had that problem; my guess is that it a computer-specific problem (we'd have heard the howls of anguish from here from others including thedon even if he was no longer a member) if it were a sploofus problem...wouldn't we?

Yes, I have had that happen on a TQOTD and a showdown recently. I figure the sploofus server is ahead of my computer and when my computer says I still have time, its already run out on the sploofus server. And by the time my screen changes and my timer starts, the sploofus timer has already kicked off several seconds. That's my theory anyway.

Frustrating, all the same.

Send in a support ticket.

I have had slow timings with several Showdowns.

Thanks for your replies Garrybl and Lodi, and what you said Lodi, is exactly what I have experienced. I have in the meantime, received a message from the Support Team who have been very professional and helpful, and I hope that you will also be able to resolve the problem Lodi, as it is concerning when you lose valuable points.

It happened to me just yesterday. I sent in a support ticket, and the powers that be sorted it tout suite.

I have had it happen on TQOTD, but never knew how to send in a support ticket! Guess I will learn in the future if need be. Thanks for the thread!

Also, THIS has happened with WP once before, and with word rounds and word matches: I will complete the puzzle in question, and click on the submit button, but it never completely submits. After a two or three minute wait - which seemed like two and half weeks at that time - I then either exited the site, or clicked on something to move to another page somehow, simply to break the cycle. My computer was saying it was done "loading" but the screen was not changing? I dunno. I've completely stopped playing word matches and word rounds because I could complete one or the other the first time through, and that was all, each time I logged in. Very frustrating. It only happened the one time with a WP.

It's happened to me a few times with WP's, each time they have been reset.

Nan - To send a support ticket, just click on the word Help at the upper right of your screen. Simple as that. You will generally get an answer within half a day.

I've found several times when I submitted but the timer just hung there or a WP didn't show as finished, if I go out and come back in, it really did register.
