I have 3 friends needing prayer:

1. John has stomach cancer

2. Becky's family (6 children) have to move in 10 days. They have no place to go and no money for deposits even if they do find a place. It will take a real miracle.

3. A friend has a renter who is threatening and she is scared. Please pray for the safety of her family as they begin the eviction process to remove the renter from their property.

Request from Felix:

Felix's ex-wife and her family. "She lost her Mother this week. She was not only the Rock of her family but also a good and faithful member of her church. We buried her yesterday after a bout with lung cancer ( she had never smoked a day in her life). Thanks again."

We must always keep in mind that we should pray for all our leaders daily:

1 Timothy 2

1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Even though Alison (Monkeynips) asked for good thoughts on 5-6 for her parents, it looks like she could use some prayer for her health also. She said:

After a few months of being in relatively stable condition, I've experienced a decline over the last few weeks, increased pain, nausea, weakness, fatigue, and dangerous drops in blood pressure. I hadn't told my parents about this turn of events because I didn't want them to worry more than they all ready have been, but last night by father heard me crying because of the pain. This couldn't come at a worse time since my parents are leaving town in a few days to visit my brother and sister-in-law and my niece and nephew. Please send positive thoughts and energy to my parents. I really want them to enjoy their time with their grandchildren without worrying about me. Thanks.

I logged on this morning and saw the usual political posts that has gotten everyone in an uproar lately...I came on this morning to ask you all to just stop your bickering for just a little while this morning and to remember a family that needs your prayers this morning. Last night a 16 year old life was cut short in an auto accident not more than a half mile from my house. The 17 year old driver was airlifted to Erlanger with serious injuries. Please I ask of you to put aside your squabbling and remember this child and his family in your prayers this morning. These kids were returning home from spring football practice at the high school when the accident happened. So, I'm asking you to please say a prayer this morning for all involved. Politics need to take a backseat for once this morning!
Thank You!

A tragic situation exists in my hometown, also. A 16-year-old girl was killed on her way to school last week. Her family buried her on Saturday. Either Sunday or Monday her two brothers were in a collision and her oldest brother, 21, was killed and the other brother is hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

I cannot imagine how a family could endure such losses so close together.

At any rate, your prayers for this family would be appreciated.

I found out from my father today that my mother is in the hospital w/ pneumonia. Apparently my niece had contracted strep shortly before my parents arrival, and my mom caught it. On top of that, she had been invited to speak in Washington D.C. regarding healthcare reform. So a few days after flying from Nevada to Wisconsin, she boarded a plane to DC, despite being sick as a dog. ( Crazy, I know, but my mother is extremely passionate about the subject and felt this was an opportunity she couldn't pass up). All the travel and strain was too much for her, and less than 24 hours after returning to Wisconsin, she found herself in the ER. It breaks my heart. Because the hospital has her in isolation, she won't be able to spend time with her grandkids. Any healing energy you all could send in her direction would be greatly appreciated.

Sunny wants everyone to know she's missing her Sploofus friends. She's been struggling for some weeks with a tide of family troubles that are keeping her running between hospitals and home. Her 86-year-old mom had a urinary tract infection she ignored long enough to land her in the hospital on a wide-spectrum antibiotic drip, touch and go for a while, but she's out of the hospital now and improving.

However, just as they were making arrangements for her mother's care, her brother was in an accident that shattered his leg, and he is likely to lose his foot. His status is day-to-day, and surgery was postponed today because he has no infection and no new necrosis, so there is hope. He's her closest brother and she's at the hospital as much as she can manage, while also caring for her mom and dad.

She's grateful for the messages asking where she's been, and she'll answer them all when she next gets some time for herself.

I am appealing to you all to pray for a friend I met whilst having treatments for my own illness.
His name is Jonathon Grossman, he's 46 years old and has a wife and two teenaged children.
When he was able to work, Jonahon was a self-employed Web Designer and is an exceptional
person - intelligent with a mischievous sense of humour. He and his family have worked very hard
to find a Donor, and have added about 6000 new people to the International Bone Marrow Donors
Registry....and so helped many other people in the World.,

On Wednesday, he will go into the Hospital to be prepared for a very serious operation. He has
a very unusual blood disorder, found in only 2 people out of a million. He has been looking for a
Bone Marrow Donor but his time has run out - they cannot transfuse his own blood type into him
anymore. Jonathon's blood will be "killed" by chemo and radiation, and later a completely different
blood type will be transfused into him. He will be in isolation and have absolutely no immunity -
the doctors need to force his body to accept a completely new blood type.
In his own words "They will fry me, pickle me, and then bring me back to Life"
Even in this extremity Jonathon has a hearty sense of humour!!!!

Please pray for Jonathon over the coming weeks....I of all people know the efficacy of Sploofus Prayers.
Being the oldest of my group to start treatment at the same time, I am also the first one to go into
Remission, thanks to all of you who prayed for me during 7 months of treatment. I know the Power and
Strength of your please, please Pray for Jonathon.

Just talked to Consuelo, on her way out the door to go to the hospital. The news is not good and she's not in a good place about it, so she wanted me to let everyone know she's sorry but she's not up to posting yet until things are more settled.

Her brother's condition has deteriorated and there has been more dead tissue and two more surgeries to remove it, and he is going in again today; the doctors won't actually advise him what to do, but they're pressing him to sign the permission for the amputation before he goes under again. He's torn and still wants to fight to keep his foot but the family is not all in agreement so it's very difficult for everyone emotionally.

She sounds drained on the phone, exhausted from hours in the car and at the hospital (60 miles away) every day, plus her mother's ongoing medical problems are demanding on her time and strength as well.

She sends heartfelt thanks to everyone for all the kind thoughts and prayers, she deeply appreciates the support and we'll hear from her soon.

One of my oldest son's (Tim) friends is going into the hospital to have open heart surgery at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville tomorrow. She is 17 years old and I know her family would really appreciate the prayers as would Tim and I. Thanks ever so much...I'll let you know how she's doing as soon as I can find out anything...
Love you guys,
