That was a very interesting puzzle. After I finished I tried to Google one of the names and even Wikipedia doesn't seem to have an article on that individual, or at least I didn't find it. This is another puzzle I would like to see all the clues and answers when it ends.

Pat, I'm pretty sure I know which one you are thinking of and that person is someone I ran across in biographies of two other people of the same time and place (to be as vague as humanly possible). Not much information on the web and no Wiki article. Just goes to show, books still rule for in depth research.
