As there aren't any discussions listed, I thought I'd kick one off. Have any of you already 'got a novel inside you', but you don't know how to put it down on paper, or do you feel you haven't got anything important to say yet. I'm in the latter category, I'm sorry to say!

Hi Aristotle!

I read recently, from a writer I really admired, that the two most important things an aspiring writer can do is to read anything that interests you, and write anything you can... whether it's a letter to a friend or a blog post or anything. I read a lot, but am still a little shy sometimes about writing.

Has anything changed for you since you posted this conversation starter last year? Are you writing yet? How about reading - do you or anyone else here in the FWC read on a regular basis?

Hi SnarkMistress!

Thanks for your post. I'm so sorry it's taken me ages to reply. I'm still struggling to write creatively. I keep coming up with different ideas that I think I'll run with and then find out that they've been done before. I think the answer is to 'mash up' these stories to see if they create something new. How are you getting on with writing? I know how difficult it is to show your work to someone else, but if you would like any support/feedback. I'm happy to provide it.
