GIFT VS SKILL

Harry Reid has a book out-a must read for me LOL. In it he recounts an incident where he complimented Obama on hs well executed speeches. According toi Harry, in effect Barrack said Harry, I have a GIFT. Bill Clinton had a Gift.. He could speak to an audience unscripted and make everyone in the room believe he was talking to them because he looked them in the eye. Obama has a SKILL. He is an excellent reader and as long as he has the teleprompter he comes off well-without it his rating as a speaker is as the worst as any among the Bush- Bashers - a bumbling fool. Linda

I thought this was so "funny" and "GLIB" the first time I posted it, I just had to post it again.

Obama is brilliant. His use of the teleprompter is designed to cause so much angst and distress among his opponents they will eventually become crazy. Two good examples of this are Rush Limbaugh. LOL Bo

He has compared himself to Lincoln, FDR, Truman, and Napoleon- the few I can remember. When he gets someone "BRILLIANT" to write him a speech that he can read and tell people who he is, maybe we will all have a clue- Linda

Joe didn't have a prompter so he told me to avoid crowded places. Even scarier the White House folks told us he didn't really say that and then said what he meant-now they are not only controlling who gets my money but what I think I hear and see. LOL Linda

Linda, It's actually a wonderful thing, your fascination with President Obama and the teleprompter.... who would have thought the best you could come up with is "he uses a teleprompter". When you come up with something with some substance - and I won't hold my breath - let us know. It must be so frustrating to not be able to make racial slurs, darn this whole polictically correct thing! If only you could bash him for the color of his skin like in the good old days ..... Go ahead, sputter and fuss, hit me with a good quote from one of your unsubstantiated blogger "sources" Actually, just go back and copy and paste, something from an old post -- save yourself the trouble of saying the same nonsense, in a new and yet so tired way.

Look at madamec8 post that I urged the liberal folks to respond go but they won't because they cannot defend anything he does just bash Bush- TSK defines himself as liberal in his beliefs and he defends what he thinks with factual posts not lofty idealistic theory.. I don't often agree with him but from posts way back remember him saying he did not vote for Obama and am more than sure he does not like the troop increases in Afghanistan nor the drone strikes in Pakistan. Obama is a phony and the master of double-speak. Defend what he has done not just say how thankful we should be that Bush is gone- TOTUS a joke Linda

Linda, Tsk has not posted on this thread so why are you dragging him in. You don't agree with him but use him for your argument. I think even he would resent that. What difference does it make if he didn't vote for Obama. That doesn't mean he agrees with your posts. Why don't you give it a rest with the teleprompter it is getting so old. I am OVER it, and really you should play more and post less.

OK, so we know Linda hates President Obama, but ,believe you me. Linda, not as much as the world hated and feared George W. Bush, who only invades Iraq to try to finish the job his father chickened out on over Kuwait.

This thread was about "Totus" teleprompter that even has it's own Blog and Facebook page. Must bother Obama a bit too as the other day after saying something of more than a sentence without using it he said, " I did that without a prompt." You are correct though, Bill, don't like what he is doing not even a little bit,. Believe George was more in keeping with what Bill had started but alas he bombed an aspirin factory-oops that was Sudan-no matter somewhere that was really important and made his point LOL "totus" joke of the world-Linda

Bill, the real reasons for the invasion of Iraq are not well known IMO.

One of them surely was an answer to the Arab world for 9-11.

Another was to seek to develop within the Arab world a democracy, the one thing Al Qaeda and militant Islam could not permit. And to develop a friendly nation on the borders of Iran and Syria, two very problematic nations.

Yet another was to fight the War on Terror on their turf rather than ours. We have.

.............So you admit we were lied to. That's a start.

One of them surely was an answer to the Arab world for 9-11.
............And now you are admitting collective punishment, illegal in international law. No wonder The Shrub was so against an international court. What on earth did Iraq have to do with 9/11 ? I wonder why Saudi wasn't attacked if that was the motivation.

Another was to seek to develop within the Arab world a democracy, the one thing Al Qaeda and militant Islam could not permit. And to develop a friendly nation on the borders of Iran and Syria, two very problematic nations.
................The Repugs have the nerve to talk about democracy ? In the long term Iran will have far more to say in the running of Iraq than the US will. Nothing comes between the appalling Shi'ite cult.

Yet another was to fight the War on Terror on their turf rather than ours. We have.
.............. Starve the country of trade for ten years, and then bomb with impunity. Invent lies about why you are doing it. Tell me again, who are the terrorists around here ?

Could one reason for the war in Iraq be because Iraq had at one time put a bounty on the head of the first George Bush and his son might have been looking for a way to get back at Iraq.?

Funny, most of us who lived in DC and worked for the federal gov't at the time felt that way especially since Clinton during his administration had ordered as retaliation for the bounty on George H.W.Bush's head a bombing event that went awry.

There was also the fact that Iraq had become a major pest without resolution. We had sent our forces over there three times, they had corrupted the Oil for Food program (with Kofi's own son on the take) and tossed out the inspoectors - this time they had to behave and adhere to UN demands or else. Saddam, who as it turned out probably didn't know what was happening with his weapons programs, diddled us one time too many.
