R.I.P. DOM DELUISE

From Blazing Saddle to Silent Movie to Smokey and the Bandit to 3rd Rock, his flamboyant, humorous characters will be missed.

Throw out your hands, stick out your tush, hands on your hips, give them a push. An outstanding performer.

I loved the wacky alien character he played on Stargate SG-1.

I was sad to see this news.

Suzer, I remember that! One of his sons directed those shows and another guested as Samantha's love interest. Talented family. Dom will be missed.

I loved him -- he had no 'shame'

Remember him as Melvin P. Thorpe in 'Best Little Whorehouse in Texas'? Fun movie, he made it moreso.

Years ago he did a variety series in which he played a barber. He had some good scenes at times, but overall the show was a flop.

This is a clip of an appearance on the Tonight Show -- brilliant, and hilarious.

I could watch his movie Hot Stuff (1979) with Jerry Reed over and over again. This movie changed my life. In the big fight scene there is a 'look' that one guy gives. It's subtle but when applied to women it is the worlds greatest ice breaker. Although Dom is not involved in the scene I think the character he plays in the movie shows another side of his talent. They don't make 'em like they used to.
