Know I plague folks with my questions-but here is one more. Any possibility of individuals deleting their own quizzes? My early quizzes ,for the most part, frankly SUCKED! They are today somewhat of an embarrassment to me. They do not contain objectionable material but i was totally unprepared for quiz writing. Have gone back and corrected typos and such but they still are naive and trite. Could not adequately correct questions .

Sorry, Linda, this reply will be off-topic (sort of), but your message got me thinking, and you know how painful that can be.

I've heard rumors about graduate students burying a line somewhere in there theses about "if anyone on my committee reads this, contact me and I'll buy them a beer," and as the story goes, they seldom have to pay up. Wouldn't it be fun if someone edited into one of their old quizzes some sort of (just in time) easter egg, something along the lines of, "first person to mention this to me in a PM will receive [something I could provide] ..."?

Of course, I'll categorically deny having done anything like that, but don't let that stop you from examining all my old quizzes just to be sure.

Hey Linda - Just cause you don't like those early quizzes, doesn't mean that other people won't. I think that everyone knows that there is a big difference between quizzes from a year ago and those of today.

I've been sneaking back to very early quizzes - I go to a topic, take an early one (they don't show up earlier than about August), then I click on that person's quiz list, and head right to the bottom. There's some good stuff way back, but much of it is very different than the quizzes being written today. There are lots of quizzes that are true/false type with only 2 choices. I guess rules were different back then. But I am sure that there are folks who enjoy taking them - if they bother to find them.

And that's the thing. Look at your numbers for the early quizzes. How many people are still taking them? I'll bet very few. I keep watching my first quiz. I wrote it in November and it went quickly to about 24. It is now only at 27. Very few people are seeing that quiz.

Bottom line - you can't remove your quiz. I guess you could write to Sploofus and ask him to remove it. But not that many folks are looking at it!

Hey Linda - I just went back and took one of your early quizzes - the one about Grown Children - and I loved it!! What a fun idea! Don't sweat the old stuff. Alice

I've taken older quizzes that were dated back around Christmas 2004 and for the most part enjoyed them alot....I've been trying to revamp my older quizzes alittle and for the most part it's helped....I've gotten several taking quizzes I wrote back at the beginning of 2005 now.....don't worry about it ok?
