I'm always looking for new places to go.

My favorites, so far, in no particular order:

1. National Parks of Utah - incredible. Monument Valley was my favorite, and that's not a National Park. Capital Reef, Bryce, Arches, etc - WOW!
2. Alaska - the inland passage, helicopter flights, Denali
3. Galapagos Islands - you cannot say enough about them! Stepping over iguanas and sea lion pups. Penguins. Boobies.
4. Iceland - get out of Reykjavik - see the geysers, volcanic remains, rift zone, puffins, horses.
5. Olympic Peninsula of Washington - seacoast, Mt St Helens, Hoh Rain Forest, ferries, Seattle

Where did you go that you loved?

I've spent over 50 years travelling - my favourite pastime!
The very best of all was a period based on Aqaba, Jordan.
From there we visited Mount Sinai, the southern Sinai desert, the Israeli Negev desert, Dead Sea, Beersheba, Masada, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Jericho, Cairo (& Pyramids), Suez, Petra. Within that, we trekked Lawrence of Arabia's famous ride from Aqaba to Suez as in his 'Seven Pillars of Wisdom'.
The following year we followed up in this area by moving up the entire length of the Egyptian Nile from Cairo to Abu Simbel via Luxor & Aswan (since then remaining one of our favourite towns) to Abu Simbel just north of the Sudan border.
An unbelievable and unforgettable 'collection' to be recommended to all!

Pelle Island,Canada. I lived visiting the wine factory where i saw how the monks used the oxen to turn an apparatus to make wine in the old days, their museum of the Inuits their one store which was a general store. I was shocked to find the island had only one airplane. Dumb me, I should know a small island only needs one general store ( I felt like I was in a western movie at a trading point). I love history and Pelee, Island set me in the throes of history in today's modern world.

Kim, we cycled from Galway around Connemara last August. It rained and it rained . . . and then it rained some more. But it was pretty.

My favorite - cycling through Burgundy and traveling on to Alsace, Nancy and Paris (with the one that got away).

Andy LOL- I didn't cycle in Galway but I did at the Cliffs in Clare and was "treated" to the sunniest, hottest day I've ever had there. Must have been 80F. I would have loved to have felt some raindrops that day
