Very clever, only I didn't have on the right hat for puns today and bombed it. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it after catching on. Thanks, slicko

Yes, another Slicko WP! The best kind! You can always count on Gary for lots of pun!

Another great one!

I haven't had this much Pun during a WP for a long time! Well done, old son! Keep up the good work.

I coulda been a contenduh. But there was a composer in one of mine that I'd never heard of nor played any of his music. Gotta love a WP that teaches us while we're having so much fun! Thanks for the great WP.

I love it when Slicko does a WP. That's one less top WPer to contend with. Now if I could just get the top ten to collaborate, I might break into the points! Great job. A well-composed puzzle.

Slicko's as good at making WPs as taking WPs, and that's saying something! Thanks for a pun fuzzle!

great fun...but memo to self: do NOT go out for birthday parties before doing WPs.

I've been looking forward to this one since I saw it on the schedule, and I was definately not disappointed Intelligent, clever, and fun (and punny) . Of course now I have the Monty Python classic Decomposing Composers stuck in my head. That's not necessarily a bad thing.

What a blast. My favorite ever I think.
Amazingly I got stuck FOREVER on the first one, staring, pondering, wondering, about the obvious.
Which was good for a laugh.
GREAT job, loved it, thanks.

Thanks again for all the nice comments - especially considering for the sake of puns I had to use a couple lesser known composers. Some really great scores - including Daveguth, Virtus, Johnbtv, Aetrout and Bbear who were the top 5 as of 7:59 Sploofus time.
And close behind there's speed demon Kaufman who can solve a puzzle faster than I could even type in my own answers!

I truly enjoyed this Gary. Well done.

Yeah, and I'd have been in the top 5 too had not that Meddling Bartok somehow appeared a second time in my answer window right before I banged "solve".

And you didn't have to go to second tier composers ... you could have asked me and I'd have told you that Ludwig Van bakes his borscht, or that Wolfgang Amadeus makes sculptures out of unleavened bread, or that Mr. 4'33" keeps his toilet penned up, or that Nicolai hacks up Colorado beer when schussing around the edge of a caldera.

Ok, on second thought, maybe better that you did it as you did.

I enjoyed it, thanks, but it ate me whole. I must stop attempting these at 5 am.

Reading Ken's suggestions, and painfully working out the implied puns, yes....we can thank our lucky stars you did not ask him Gary.

I actually spent a nano second thinking somehow the squares got messed up for Bachs. From there, I returned my music degree.

Very good WP, it makes me realise that i also need a strategy for solving short WP otherwise I will get into negative score.

Great job, Slicko I had to kick myself in the pants & groan at you on the Haydn one, another blonde moment

Sorry for the late applause. Anyway, I loved it, Gary! Another terrific word puzzle. My favorite phrase was:

he made a liszt and checked it twice

Thanks for a lot of fun!
