One of the true SuperStars of Sploofus! Ultra impressive stats and one of the nicest people I have ever chatted with here. Enjoy your day, Bill. Is 'Stag' on DVD?

Oh my goodness! Lo and behold I just happened to chance upon the Salty Dog forum today after not being here in a week or more I think. Something must have compelled me....
But thank you so much for this shout out! I can assure you it's a day-brightener! And guess what? At 7 PM today I have an audition over at "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" Wish me luck!

Thank you to everyone here who has offered their congrats and their compliments to me.
Thank you Felix for those very kind generous words! And to answer your question, I see that "Stag" (a film I recorded sound for in 1997) is indeed on DVD and VHS. I saw some listings for them on Amazon.com.

Hey, here's some big news. I'm in a movie called "Ghosts of the Heartland" and it opens this Friday, May 22nd at the Quad Cinema in NYC at 34 West 13th Street between 5th and 6th Ave...it plays until May 28th. On the other hand, if it performs well, it can get held over and/or spread to other theatres throughout the land. So I hope you can make it to a screening, or if you know people in NYC, maybe ask them to come see it. (pretty please !) I play a colleague of the lead character who is trying to get to the bottom of a corruption racket in a small town out west during the mid-20th century.
Here's the film's web site with all kinds of neat stuff like a trailer and all that.
www.ghostsoftheheartland.com
The reviews come out today and Friday I guess. Should be in Variety, the New York Times, New York Post, Time Out NY, The Village Voice, and a few other papers.

Gosh the more I look at it, the more this is my special day! I really really enjoy Sploofus, and of course it would be nothing without the good folks here who do all this writing and do all the editing without financial recompense. I think that's a true sign of a group of people with a true passion for something. People who create the assets this site possesses for the sheer pleasure of it and the community and communication it provides. Bravo to everyone here for making this hands-down the single best trivia site on the Internet.

Oh and finally, Stoutyoungladd asked if I had been conducting anymore Trivia polls lately. And I haven't because I had been doing them as my own goofy way of entering a quiz for the Community Quizzes category, but now that the category has faded away, I hadn't seized the opportunity to conduct a survey anymore. But maybe I can just do them anyway. I dunno, a poll per season maybe. There's one poll I'd like to conduct for personal practical reasons, so maybe I'll get on that.

Oh and Oldcougar thank you for hoping I'd do compose some WPs. I have a giddily clever idea for them but alas I have to be a Platinum member I think to write them, and I'm only a gold member. Maybe if I win a bunch of cash on the "Who Wants to be a ..."show I'll upgrade. But I'm wondering if Sploofus would frown upon my WP idea or get a kick out of it....we'll see someday.

So that's that. Thank you again everybody! Peace to all!
Bill

An excellent selection for today indeed.
Congrats to Bill.
Good luck on your "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire" audition.
That would be a real honor for Sploofus to have one of our best players shine!
And "break a leg" on the new movie - Ghosts of the Heartland.

Congratulations to a true original, and a truly nice guy. Best wishes for the success of your film, and I will actually watch that quiz show if you're on it. You've got thousands of possible candidates for...whatever they call those friends you can call for help!

Everybody at Sploofus really really likes you too, Bill.

Hey - if you can work the word "sploofus" into one of your discussions about an answer, I hear Justin will upgrade you to platinum!!!!!

hahaha (just kidding)

(on the other hand, it WOULD be a great idea)

(why did my profile just disappear???????????????)

Congrats on ALL the reasons this is a special day and a special week. I sure to hope you make it on the show.

You know, that'd be cool if Justin would start an online trivia sho.......................Justin, stop pulling my hair - that hurts!!!!!!! and that duct tape.................mhmhmhmhmhmhmhmhmhmhmhMHMHNHMHMHMhmhmhmhmHMHMH (I CAN'T BREATHE!)
