I liked it as well. Really smacked of Ricky-isms.

Some Aussie terms threw me off.

Boy, do I feel dumb when hubbie is away. I'd like to think I contribute when we play together but seeing my scores for the past few days shoots that theory!

Fun one. I sure enjoy these 10 things.

Enjoyed learning even more about the Rick-ard of Oz.
Minced mush doesn't sound too appetizing. Yecch! Hope he gets his dream and climbs Ayers Rock.
Looming ahead, a bunch of Sploofers will get together with him in the next couple months. It sure will be a roller coaster ride while he's here. And he'll see the New York Yankees lose to my Baltimore Orioles.

[sure didn't happen this week, however ]

I thought I had really tanked this one -- 41 points, including a wrong guess. Imagine my surprise to end up fourth! Interesting, as all the 10 Things are, but tough, too. I ran through a bunch of letters before I realized "before I -EA-E O-" was "leave Oz" and not some Aussie slang for "died," And even *more* letters trying figure out the name of an Australian supermarket chain (Cole's). Can we agree that proper names are unfair and should be avoided?

Landmarks and place names, of course, are an obvious exception, although I'll admit being surprised to see "Ayers Rock" instead of "Uluru."

I didn't have to do that particular puzzle. However, when I write mine, I do it in a way so as to try to make the players responsible for as few of the hard/obscure proper names as possible. Mainly because I've been equally frustrated by them in the past.

(My puzzle that will run next week can't avoid them, but I did filter out some of the weird words.)

Excellent puzzle, Rick I got hung up on the word man instead of fan, saw the pink screen & used 3 more letters before the light went on Didn't have a problem with the proper names as I recognized them, guess I know more about the land of Oz than I realized Keep 'em coming.
