POST ANYTHING POSITIVE

I will speak for myself in saying too much negativity is not a good thing. Say something positive on here or don't post at all.

Sometimes it may be bad. I also think negativity is how one perceives it. My Mom used to send me back outside whenever I got my feelings got hurt and tell me... Let it roll off of you like water does a duck's back . I hope you understand and am not offended.

Thanks BigMama no offense taken. I do tend to be sensitive. Vicki, that is great, hey my daughter is a teacher (kindergarten) she is counting down the days left!

As a follow up to the recent post on organ donation, I have some lab work done once a month in order to keep track of kidney function. Today was the day and it was all very good...again! I just never get tired of being healthy!

"Oh, life is a glorious cycle of song,
A medley of extemporanea;
And love is a thing that can never go wrong"

I walked on the beach early this morning, for the first time in months. Bunches of sea birds were out too. Loved it.

Last night we went out for a belated 45th birthday celebration for my daughter -- it was non-stop laughing, from the time 3 of us tried to buckle our seat bealts in the back seat. My son was behind the wheel and feigned impatience and frustration, saying, 'don't make me come back there'. The weather was perfect, the food was awesome, the service superb, and nearby diners festive. It's been a long time since 'the planets were in alignment' and it all came together for us.

I decided it was time for my car to get a tune-up. Before taking it to the shop, I thought I'd clean out the junk on the floor. I discovered I'm so short that I can stand completely upright inside my car behind the driver's seat. It was kind of cool.

A follow up to Maurlin's post:

"Oh, life is a glorious cycle of song,
A medley of extemporanea;
And love is a thing that can never go wrong"

The last line is : And I am Marie of Romania --so maybe not such a positive end!

I am positive....that moving is a pain in the ...! We've done it three times in three years, and it only seems to get harder each time. Maybe this time we'll actually stay in a place for a year!!!

Katy, I have a Nissan Sentra. Teal-colored.

When I was a kid, I used to enjoy trying to squeeze into very small spaces, kind of like a cat.

Let's see, something else positive: I love to watch sandpipers running on a beach. Then I like to try to run as fast as they do.

Since we're bragging here, my autistic son, after a disastrous first semester & getting diagnosed with epilepsy brought home an honourable mention certificate for the first half of his second semester. I'm pleased as all get out that the meds are working & now, once again, his brains. Life is good

I'm positive we're all doomed to see a new day, sun shining, birds singing all over my backyard - 2 bluejays, a cardinal (are they playing baseball out there??? ). Doomed to watch more of my students spotlighted in awards ceremonies today, more beautiful music, more rehearsal with full orchestra for graduation in 2 weeks, where I lose one of my 2 of my fave seniors and 1 of my least fave, caustic seniors (but it takes all kinds).

Doomed to see the trees absolutely bursting with huge, deep green leaves. And doomed to return home to a freshly mowed, trimmed, edged yard if all works well!

I'll take this dooming any day! Hope you guys's's's's day is as doomed as mine today.

I loved the video shown this week in which a good samaritan CAUGHT a dozen baby ducks! Their mom had built her nest on a ledge of an office building about 10 feet off the ground, and the ducklings couldn't get down! Incredibly, each duckling waited in line, then JUMPED off and into the waiting hands of the guy below who had noticed their plight. The ducklings were very orderly, and each one made it down safely. It was amazing! The guy then escorted the mom, with her ducklings following closely behind, through people, etc., and into a safe wooded area. Way to go!

I'm having a good day myself, being "robbed" of a word puzzle aside ! I doubt there are few places in the world much better than Kent when the sun is shining. If the weather holds, and it should, i may well be seeing the white cliffs over the weekend. My wonderful daughter stayed for a couple of days, i felt like kidnapping her and making her stay. In reality though, i'm glad she's her own woman and successful in her chosen path.

My son-in-law had a video on internet this am. Story of a mom who found the son she gave up. She gave him up at age 16 and then had a family later. She searched for him unsuccessfully for many years. Her daughter found him living across the street! The family was reunited with the adoptive parents being overjoyed for their adopted son. I don't have the link but if you run across it, it is a great heart warmer. Love is what is all about.

It's very difficult not to feel positive after watching and hearing what follows this link....whether a positive attitude and outlook, or a being positive that 80s haircuts were a mistake!

I just returned from New York to attend my daughter's, Jessica, graduation from the State University of New York (SUNY, New Paltz).

She earned her Master's of Science in psychology...graduated with Honors! I'm just bursting with pride.

I don't need to post anything really positive, I just saw Erin and Consuelo on the same thread! Life is good.....

Listening to the song didn't do much for me, but the haircuts, outfits, and dancing produced a smile.

Congrats on the graduation Sun....

I bought a new car, hard to say if that's a positive or not, guess I'll let you know how I'm feeling when they tow it away because I can't make the payments! I'm also "think" I'm purchasing a house, guess those are positives.

I went on atrip yesterday, on a coach, went all round a vineyard, vast acres and acres of vines, then tasted a few of their products. We then went for lunch at a smashing reataurant, and then went on a boat trip on the river nearby. Very positive day out.

The weather is great and I have the time to enjoy it so that is what I am doing. My irises that I just planted a couple of weeks ago bloomed and that is positive and amazing.
