INCREDIBLY SLOW?

Are others experiencing extremely slow times on the Quizes and Kerblunks--particularly so in the last few days?

I use two different computers and both seem incredibly slow. The quizes often get hung up for long periods between questions, driving completion times way up. Kerblunks aren't quite as bad because you only have to transmit once for the whole set of questions, but they sure take a LONG time to load up. At least for me. It makes the whole Sploofus experience a lot less enjoyable.

Has anyone notified Justin so he can do one of his server shuffling repairs?

I've had a hard time, off & on, getting pages to load today. I haven't bothered with any quizzes when it takes 30 seconds to load a profile page. On two different computers and two different internet systems.

I have experienced the same problems I am not happy with response time at all. I have been so frustrated at times I go to some other site and go back to see how I scored on a quiz. Thought maybe it was an internet thing but apparently it is a problem with site. Hope they fix it, or I won't be playing long today too frustrating.

Sometimes in the early morning hours, example 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. can't log in as pages won't load. Just gave up 'til later.

Also, did a regular Trivia Quiz this morning and it hung in between questions and on the last one for up to 225 seconds. Really seems like a lot longer when you are waiting. Also same problem when rating the quiz. It seems like each screen is stuck and takes forever for the new one to load. Other sites seem to load fine.

I've just noticed it in the past few days.

For me, it's the TQotD that take so long to load your time is nearly or completely gone before you can click on an answer, much less read the question. I sent in a Support Ticket just yesterday for a question it evidently took me *47 seconds* to answer -- and it was an easy-peasy musical instrument question.

SORRY... YOU DID NOT ANSWER IN TIME TO KEEP THE BLUE DIAMOND OR RECEIVE THE POINTS!

Yeah, a snail made it across my driveway and all the paint in the house dried while I waited for the next screen to come up after my wager on a TQOTD. Luckily, though I distinctly heard mooing approaching from the fields while I waited for the next screen to come up, at least when it did it said I answered correctly in 12.25 seconds.

It is taking FOREVER to go from anything to Kerblunks or Quiz pages. I gave up.
It doesn't seem to be affecting the wordrounds/wordmatch pages at least for me.

I too am having problems, especially with kerblunk which I cannot get on at the moment. I was there and when I went to do the next one nothing happened, now the same when I hit the kerblunk button. WR seems okay though, but found Salty Dog a bit slow. Mind you it has a long way to travel from there to here!

Financing tattoos seem to be a higher priority than upgrading the Sploofus server! But then why wouldn't they be? Seeking feedback on the legalization of marijuana while totally ignoring numerous requests to address this bogus awarding of EA speaks directly to of the owner... and unfortunately that lack of concern is being transfered to quality of the product.

It doesn't matter. If you quit after about a day unless you are a symbol of something, few notice you are missing. Believe it outrageous though to promote renewals and upgrade and then do no site maintenance or at leat expain what is or is not going on. There will be new people to grab the promotioal bait that many of us who have been here fr a long time dd yet again-

All I can say is, I'm glad it's not just me. I'm used to slow performance, but it's usually my server.

I bet there'd be more posts, but it took two "Try agains." to get to here, so most folks just give up.

Related question: If players get real upset and quit, do they get removed from the count of members? I hope so, because we just passed my estimate and the year isn't half over yet.

I just answered my daily question, and it gave me an error code for timing out....but...apparently I got it right, since my level changed, and my wager points were added. Nearly four years on the site, and I finally hit a billion points!!! But...my membership is about to end as of Monday, and I'll be a dreaded non-paying member. I'm not on that much anyway, but until these bugs get worked out, I don't see where I'll be going back to gold right away. I've been here since Sept. '05, when the members were about 10% of what they are now, and I've paid every year, either platinum or gold. I guess it's time for a break until I get on a more routine schedule. I've enjoyed the friends and fun I've had on here, but a little less of the bickering back and forth would be nicer to see. Some of the long-timers on here can relate to the time when it seemed a lot less stressful on the site. It would be great to see that good time come back more often. Just my couple of cents, I hope everyone has a good holiday, and it's been fun guys!

If you have trouble with your TQOTD, and you believe you were not awarded your points, please submit a support ticket.

If you have trouble with a word puzzle and need a reset, please submit a support ticket.

We are doing our best to answer support tickets in a timely manner. Please be aware that we are also affected by the system malfunctions.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while Justin works hard to resolve the issues and get Sploofus shipshape again.

Fortunately, I have not had any log-in issues........apart from having to re-log a couple of times when I think I shouldn't oughta have.
Howeverrrrrrr...........Yup, have experienced snails in the system a few times. Is it user traffic....dunno? Seems to be "reasonable" down here in Oz! C'mon down, I'll throw another shrimp on the barbie for ya!

Like the rest of you, I suspect Justin is tinkering under the hood, doing his dangedest to optimize the site. (hope so!)
