A few hours ago, 12:00pm GMT to be precise, the annual Cheese Roll at Cooper's Hill in Gloucestershire, UK took place. Leave it to the Brits to upstage our holiday in the U.S. Guess I'll have a grilled cheese sandwich.

Cheese roll? Is this one large cheese or many small cheeses? Gouda? Cheddar?

Is it on YouTube yet?

I say, any excuse to celebrate! We can memorialize our veterans and roll cheese too!

We don't need no stinking cheese to celebrate! (pun intended)

Couldn't find a 2009 video, but here is a 2008 copy.

Well, Tuz, yesterday was a Brit Bank Holiday too - sorry if our dawn arrived before yours!
The cheese is traditionally a large complete Double Gloucester ('Gloster' in proper English!).
It's a suicidal affair. The cheeses can reach 70 mph. The hill is very, very steep. Broken limbs come as normal!

Who says the British are stuffy? Crazy blokes, is more like it, though I do admire them

If we combine the Cheese Roll with Running with the Bulls, we can end the day with a cheesburger grill-out.
