I found this most enjoyable and rather hard work.
I must ask after time is up about one combination, which I did not understand and seemed rather forced,
but that did not affect the fun.

I'm pretty sure this is the first word puzzle from Didb72. If so, great job! I thought this was a really interesting puzzle, and I learned a few things, too! Thanks for a lot of fun!

Wow if that's a freshman effort then that's an auspicious start. Terrific puzzle

Loved your puzzle!!! PLEASE note that I am not as slow as my time appears. I am at work and had to keep stopping to help customers. UGH!! I won't try that again. But, great puzzle, lots of fun.

OK since times up what did 'fantastic' have to do with bolero -- or was it just a way to link symphonie fantastique?

Fantastic tripped me up too, but overall a great puzzle

Really liked this one. Difficult but didn't have the usual freshman "ah ha" words.

Good job.

Barry and Randy -- I was also tripped up by fantastic, wondering whether I had dozed off in music appreciation

This was indeed a well-crafted word puzzle, interesting, and educating. Bravo.

J'ai aimé ce mot puzzle.

In other words- nicely written puzzle with some interesting facts.
The "fantastic" Bolero phrase did make me wonder too however, but it helped bridge the link between Ravel and Berlioz with such a word.
Kudos for the effort by the author.

Many thanks for all your nice comments. I must say that it was a team effort with Sploofunky, the editor, who helped me to channel and put into into sentences my ideas.
As Barry mentioned, I had a bit of a teething problem with one phrase, I probably ran out of steam at this point. Therefore, I went for the fantastic bolero and the symphonie fantastique like I could not find any phrase for the symphonie fantastique. The phrase does not take anything away from the Bolero that is good piece of music classic. Cheers.
