BAKERSTREEET HATMOSPHERE

Emily, great WP!!!!! And I see people are already having great scores with it.

I, decidedly, did not. Apparently I believe that when I break a record, I should do so decidedly. I've never seen so many pink screens since I started playing WPs. I seem to have Norm Crosby disease tonight.

But congrats to you and to everyone who are being so successful. For me, I shall take it as losing the game of Life - I shall settle in a little white house to spend the remainder of my days as a philosopher.

Most enjoyable puzzle. I never know what makes a good puzzle but from a personal perspective that aha moment when you work out a phrase makes up for almost everything else.
This puzzle gave me that feeling so I loved it. Thanks bstreet.

I agree. It was fun and I learned stuff too. My incredibly long time doing it was because I got a short phone call and then forgot I was in the middle of doing the puzzle. Imagine my surprise when I came back to the computer some time later and saw a half finished WP.

Excellent puzzle, Emily. Neat idea.

Unfortunately as Charles Barkley would say, I just did, "Turribl, turribl, turribl." Three pinkies. Was a little rushed.

Hi gang -- thanks so much for throwing all of your hats in the ring! I want to thank my editor too, who spent a long time on it. It really means a lot when you take the time to write comments about a puzzle. As you writers all know, it's nerve wracking when the puzzle runs, because you want the gamers to have fun with it. (By the way, like Janice, my WP solving skills need quite a bit of work, so I think we should become philosophers together! I actually think a Zen life would be better, anyway.) Thanks again to everyone who took the puzzle, and to all of you who took the time to write about it here! All the very best, Emily

Arrrg! I typed googles instead of goggles & cost myself a top 5 finish. Despite my Freudian slip, I thought it was an excellent puzzle, Bstreet One of my phrases was particularly poetic.
