I think we'd seen an earlier word play puzzle before?
This was as expected honest and forthright and far from easy --as the scores suggest.
Very enjoyable.

Seriously difficult one. Liked it a lot

Hubbie has a giggle about one of them "been there done that". Too funny

A puzzle that gives us a greater understanding of who you are. I've never been in the exact situation of your "Ack: Never again!" but I'm been in a somewhat similar circumstance. I understand your "Never again" feelings.

Good job on the puzzle.

I hope I will have time for taking it during my lunch break. If it is what I think it is , it must be good. Cheers

Thank you for your kind remarks. Such a puzzle should be an easy task, but I wasn't finished until I confirmed my early memory (age 1 1/2 or 2, perhaps) with my older brother.

Many thanks to Sploofusgenie's excellent editing - detecting a dreadful 14-letter! word and then inserting key articles and eliminating an awkward possessive so that the phrases flowed better.

And, yes, my handle Collioure - this perfectly charming little Mediterranean port on the gorgeous Vermilion Coast at the foot of an amphitheater of stone-terraced vineyards that rise up to an ancient signal tower at 1000 feet, where the Impressionists painted. Reproductions are posted all over town right where they were painted. Indeed here Matisse and Derain founded their short-lived Fauvist movement (featuring strong, often almost psychedelic coloring). Love at first sight on a fantastic day in 1993. Nine years later I bought a house nearby and brought everything.

Sure would have liked to have seen more than the first question. Sounds like a great puzzle. These Sploofus techno glitches are really beginning to spoil the experience for me. Very frustrating!
