CHASTITY BONO TO UNDERGO SEX REASSIGNMENT

I used to watch the Sonny & Cher show as a kid and remember what a darling little girl she was. I hope the best for her/him.

Joke in exceptionally poor taste to follow.
Please ignore this if offended by such things --and of course I wish only the best for her.

If Chastity is going to change her name to Chas is it because she is going to lose......?

you fill in the rest.

OK, I admit I did snicker, Barry.

I can't imagine the inner turmoil she must be going through to have this operation. I would be so afraid I would wake up and realize I had made a huge mistake. I don't know all the particulars of the surgery and I don't know how much of a functioning male she can become, but if it wasn't what you expected, then what? Is there a do-over?

I saw a trans-sexual on one of the channels who was a man twice and once a woman. Quite expensive.

So long as it's pronounced 'Cheese'.

Good luck to Chastity/Chas. If he/she changes their mind, they can always borrow spares from mom's off-cuts.

Oooh, Ron, that's an area of France where I don't know the departement names all that well, but I love everything from there. Have to look that up.

Its the departement of Cher, capital Bourges with a gorgeous cathedral I have never seen

Sancerre makes excellent wine in three colors although you only see the white in the US which usually is at least a very good Sauvignon Blanc from chalky soils. The rosé is excellent and the red essentially is an earthy little Burgundy which I just adore.

The goat cheese Crottin de Chavignol claims to be the best in the world.

Andy, you are nothing if not specific. Grilled salmon with dill indeed, and a little grey poupon! Seriously the operation can't be fun and then the psychological impact wow. Also as a mom I wouldn't want to lose my little girl.

To ease concerns: this takes lots and lots of specialized counseling and psychotherapy, medical exams, and gradual changes in life style before the actual surgery. Many reality checks along the way.

"Yew!" - Sonny said.

What do Sonny's tree and Sonny's daughter have in common?
Yup - they're both for the chop.

Just realised that last remark was factually incorrect on two counts.
I'll try to Spruce myself up a little. Like Sonny.
Chas/tity is, of course, not for the chop. Just the opposite in fact - soon s/he'll hardly see the wood from the trees.
Ahem.

Don't you hate it when you tell someone to go get wood and they misinterpret it?

You guys are going to have to keep this thread going this weekend. I'm coaching a fastpitch tournament all weekend. I've brought the laptop but not sure when I'll get to sploo.

For those who were here last summer, I'm in my hometown of Orofino. As luck would have it, they are also having the Idaho State Square Dance competition here this weekend, plus a Native American pow wow. Not sure which group, but one of them had the room above me last night. And they were practicing.

OK, time to go hit some balls.
