Couldn't get my engine started, and ran out of gas, Coolo.

Really enjoyed this one. Some really funny concoctions.
Great collaboration guys.

We actually got one in 1 and one in 2. The others...not so much.

Excellent, mind bending. Loving these two folk WPs!

I will admit to having not understood any of it. And I barely beat Slicko, who had to do badly since he was an author.

I have absolutely no idea what that was about.

Well I did enjoy the puzzle; but I found the clues were not as tight as I'd expected from this august duo. I got the theme early for all of them but the word-play was in some cases very precise, in others you had a lot of guesswork with no certainty that the right answer really was correct.

Great puzzle, but alas

Don't know cars, don't know music

Will try harder next time.

I got four of mine pretty easily, but wasted a lot of moves on one which never did seem to fit the pattern of the others.

What a workout, but in a good way. Coconuts to you, this puzzle wasn't a lemon. Great job boys

Had great fun working on this one with Steve - we went for two styles - some that were punny but others that inserted some extra words - about half of each so hopefully you got to sample each.
Patsy's Pinto song : I explode and fall to pieces - was Steve's and is now one of my favorite WPs ever.
The top 5 as of 7:59 am Sploofus time were Oldcougar, Zeedee, Alvandy, Bbear and Daveguth - so congrats to you (for your twisted thinking and solving abilities) and thanks to all who did it.

The mixed style was what confused me; I think that was why I made my comment earlier about not seeing the common thread and I think in abstract I'd prefer a single style.

There was a great one about honda dog/hound dog. i got that in one right at the start and now mistakenly thought i knew what the set was about.

So when I saw words to add/change I was looking for a pun not just a topical reference.

Thanks. We had fun making it. I think the slick one covered things with his post. Again, thanks.

Twisted thinker - who me?

[guilty as charged.]
