SPLOOFUS PLAYING UP AGAIN

sploofus went of line at the usual time 8..15 am here but when i tried to reconnect instead of the usual error page ,i got the google page and it said error too meny conextions first time ive had that one did anyone else get it 9was showing all the usual connextions and info about sp site ?

Sure would be nice to get a TQOTD...haven't had one in about 3 days, all errors when I click on them. I am really beginning to get angry that I paid for this site but nothing seems to have been done.

Goddess,
Have you tried submitting a support ticket about the error messages you've been getting with TQOTD? If not, I suggest submitting one. I had some trouble recently with the timer on a TQOTD, and the staff was very helpful.

Are you talking about just not receiving them in email, or are they not even listed as waiting for you on your "MySploofus" page? If they're not even there, I hope they'll send you all 3 - that's a major hit.

I tried to get on at around 12:30am and got message no connection available. I haven't tried logging on that early in a long time so I don't know if it is a time thing and happens every day or a one time thing.

I'm wondering if all the "waiting for sploofus.com"'s I get in the middle of quizzes adds to my time or if it stops counting when sploofus is in vapor lock.

I too would be interested to know if TQOTD emails are not being received, or if the questions are not being issued at all. I checked the database and it looks like every player had a question issued normally - so it is possible that emails are being flagged and captured by spam filters.

I'm still working on upgrading the database servers so hopefully that will get the time warp word round problems resolved.

Thank you for your patience - things will be improving - and I apologize for any inconvenience these problems have caused.

I think Goddess is saying she got her questions, but when she answered them she got the red error screen, and I'm guessing she filled that out instead of clicking on Help and putting in a support ticket, which is why she hasn't heard back..

I've had the same timer problem and was told my answer and my time were recorded and everything was the way it should be, except that instead of getting a yes or no screen after answering a question, I got the error screen. My points and level were registered, but you can't know that for sure unless you put in a ticket.

I am getting the emails Justin, but when I click the link within sploofus it says ERROR. I always submit, I see now I may need to submit a support ticket...but three days straight? Also, why have the submit button for the error if it does nothing? I am not about to leave sploofus yet, but the last few weeks things have been very slow. Posts cant be read when just clicking on the thread, you have to refresh while in the thread...even when you see there is a new post. I have had puzzles that I have taken and it just offers me the puzzle again, even though others can see that I have taken it. I clicked on it once and it did indeed give me the puzzle all over again. I didnt take it, but there is a glitch.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Justin, I discovered one thing, if I use firefox I can play my questions. Can you tell me why I have to use an alternate browser?

Justin has always said that Sploofus works better with Firefox. I only use Firefox for everything, and get annoyed when there are some sites I cannot access cause you need to use Internet Explorer for them. I don't understand why it makes a difference, but apparently it does.

Goddess, I don't think there's rhyme nor reason to it. I go back and forth between browsers, and some days I just give up when neither seems to work.

And I always double check to see if any other websites are loading slowly to make sure it's not my connection or my computer. It never is either. It's just a Sploofus thing - I wouldn't understand.

I always use FireFox...and I still have trouble with it..also IE. the same trouble...with logging in,and the games.It is just slow!!

SOMETHING is not working correctly no mater if Firefox or Ie. Wish someone who knows would say if it a temporary or permanent thing-snail slow loading and posting-have't even attempted a quiz

I've been going and doing other things in between questions in quizzes. I keep getting "waiting for sploofus.com," so I just get up, walk away, troll other websites, etc., while I'm waiting for sploofus to load.

Annoying.

As Jim Reeves (and others) sang, "Welcome to My World." When we first got internet, all that was available locally was dial-up. We finally got cable, so now I get my error messages much sooner. And the submit button scrolly-thingy spins faster.
