...which I have never seen the HBO show, True Blood, but the theme song is "Bad Things," written and sung by the grammy winner I've told you about who is to blame for getting me back into teaching and everything that has changed my career life so drastically over the past 14 years. (Bad Things is NOT the song he won the grammy for - he won for "Your Man," sung by Josh Turner.)

Anywho, Jace is debuting his new CD online tomorrow night. Since we get links to You Tube performances and requests to vote for different people all the time, I decided to jump out there and show off "my kid" and let you in on this live concert online if you are any interested... I think Jace has about the best voice I've ever heard, and he's been singing that well since he was 13 years old. (I love hearing Jace sing anybody's songs more than the original - he's that amazing in my opinion. And I'm hardly prejudiced at all! )

The details are (as quoted from the streaming site):

Live Webcast Monday June 22nd!
Come check out the new record... LIVE!!!
Monday June 22nd at 12th & Porter in Nashville TN.
Jace Everett and his amazing band hit the stage to debut new CD "Red Revelations"!
If you're in Nashville get yourself down to the bar.
If not, don't worry; This show will be shot with 4 HD video cameras and streamed live to the world!
Even better, we will be recording this for a future DVD release this summer that will have the full concert as well as behind the scenes shenanigans from the road and the studio.

Here's the schedule (all times are in Central Time Zone):
8 p.m. - The Levees- Lousianas finest in blues, rock, and soul.
9 p.m. - Jace Everett- the live debut of "Red Revelations"!

Here is the link to watch the webcast:

If you've never heard "Bad Things," it was the #1 club song 2 years ago. So they tell me! ha
You can watch a video of him performing it on Jay Leno at Jace's website. Also - he has a great video entitled "How to become an overnight success" which is full of Jace's sarcastic sense of humor. That's at

Anyway, since all of that is free (as best I can find anywhere - nothing says anything about a charge of any kind), I thought it would be ok to let anyone who might be interested know about it. That's certainly where I'll be tomorrow night cause I can't get away to be there in person at this time.

Hey Al! Good to see you in the audience! Thanks for the support. Reminds me of that place your "friend" goes there in PA

Sure enough, it is free.

Yeah, well, at least you're smiling.

I wish he'd sing more of other people's stuff instead of a complete CD of his own. I mean, I know he won a grammy for that one song, but I liked the last CDs songs so much more.

But that's me.

Oh, I was gonna say - I liked "Bad Things" the least of any on the last CD. And yet I like it MUCH better than anything on this one, so far.

I'm waiting for redemption.

I downloaded the webcast . A few pretty good songs- I sent Jace a message on his Facebook page.
I know a place in York, PA [the First Capital] that might be a good venue if he comes this way.

That's very kind, Al. Since you have the heart of a DJ, that will mean a lot to him.

I wish I could have been there for the rest of the concert - I'm guessing it was a lot more fun. They were really trying to cram a lot into that hour and not go over time. I'm guessing the rest was much more laid back and fun.

Thanks for being there!
