Well thanks everyone. I didn't spend a lot of time on Sploofus today, it was a very hot day here in the SW of England (well hot by our standards, and yes I have been to Phoenix Az ), so I spent most of it fishing, which I have rediscovered since I retired last year. We have Wimbledon just now too, so more demands on my time watching TV!. Thanks again for your good wishes. Pete.

What kind of fish are you catching?

A great way to spend your day, I might add.

I must admit I can't tell one kind of fish from another. I tried a few weeks ago taking photos of the fish as I caught them and trying to look them up on the internet afterwards, but that failed too. Not that today's catch (2 fish) was that exciting anyway, but it filled several hours in the sun

Still more fun than just about anything else. Are you ocean fishing, lake fishing, or fresh water fishing?

Freshwater lake. Actually old gravel pits on the far side of (small) town. Very easy to get to. The local club has rights on some of the local river too but haven't tried that yet. Used to go sea fishing years ago but was more of an expedition, very early starts bacause of the tides. Much prefer lazing about locally.
