He was fantastic in "Fear Strikes Out" and I always love his role in "How the West Was Won". Wasn't Hollywood great when an actor didn't have to look like Brad Pitt to get a part?

Another one from the great eras of great movies. Hard to believe he was 97. RIP Karl.

Felix, Brad Pitt can act.

Was marvelous in that chick flick you never saw - Thelma and Louise.

Mollie Sugden who played Mrs Slocombe in Are You Being Served has popped her cloggs too. Mind you, she was 86.

Andy, I interpreted Felix' comment to mean that appearance didn't hold back a great actor at one time. I agree with you, Brad Pitt is a very good actor, plus the camera loves him. But it does seem that Hollywood is more interested in box office value than talent. I don't see much depth among the newer artists.

Both are a sad loss.

Agree with with you, too, Felix about Karl Malden's career. He might have a hard time breaking into the Hollywood scene these days because he was not another handsome face. But could he act!

Sorry to hear about Molly Sugden. She was marvelous in "Are You Being Served?" -- and I am unanimous in that!

Unbelievably even more sad news. My neighbour's cat is still alive, and it's still crapping in my vegetable patch. How long can this hell go on ?

CC: Sprinkle red pepper flakes all through your garden. Hot chili sauce or anything that will get on the cats feet or anything else it happens to touch to the ground. The cat will find that pooing in your garden isn't much fun.

If i catch the little feline shit machine i'll sprinkle something down its throat. Thanks, i'll try that. I put a sign at the end of the garden which reads "Your cat is as welcome in my garden as my dog is in yours", to no effect. What is the matter with these people ?
