THEY MISREAD THE ECONOMY?

Oh, here almost six months later Joe Biden says they "misread how bad the economy was" but stands by the stimulus package which will kick in more starting in September.

Excuse me, but if you miscalculated, doesn't that mean you need to make up for lost time?

When you're wick and the doctor gives you some medicine and two weeks later you're even sicker, do you stick with the same treatment?

I don't.

From what I get the economy doesn't get sick or well in weeks or months. And nobody that is an expert seems to agree. The best explanation I have heard ever was by Peter Peterson on a Charlie Rose pbs interview I saw last week. I think you can watch it online. Made sense to me.

Andy,
Some times the doctor will increase the dosage instead of trying something else. I hope you won't be too wicked in your understanding of the predicted outcome.

Beverly, the doctor is standing pat and the patient is getting sicker.

It's a poker term meaning you continue to play without drawing any new cards to improve your hand.
